On a follow through, yes. It has always been legal, it will always be legal. The linesman just totally blew the call, awful.

Can anybody explain me the rules? There was no intention to injure Selänne, it was an accident, but is it automatically a penalty if the oppenent player get injured? I'm cheering for the Finns but this penalty was not justified I think.

They had to do that to avoid getting caught cheating for the U.S. by suspicious Finns and hockey do-gooders alike. This gets the heat off their back long enough to give the game back to the U.S.
