At what point does the US' lack of international success fall on Waddell's shoulders? His record as a GM both internationally and in the NHL has been quite paltry. It's hard to blame him for his team taking two 5 on 3's, but eventually it all falls on his shoulders. I think we've gotten one medal (bronze) in the WC's with him involved. And I think he was Pleau's assistant in that year. Is he just well connected within HockeyUSA or is there just no other choice? I understand that there isn't a lot to choose from (Pleau, Patrick, and Poile are a few that come to mind), and the talent the U.S. has available isn't what it used to be. How many more times do we have to finish out of the medals with Waddell before we move on?

Not towards any particular post, just in general...

Why is that everyone's always quick to dismiss something on the grounds of the nationality, "oh, you're just saying that because you're [insert here]"?

Just wondering...

The Olympics are the only event where you come out hating a foreign culture more than you did before.

You're just posting this because you're related to that guy from the Pistons

I just dunno...maybe you maybe bit dummier than others...youre comedy-series also are very crap...they aren`t funny at all.

Can USA just put together a line of Rolston-Conroy-Gionta and bench the rest of the forwards for the rest of the game? Those three guys are the only ones who have consistenly been effective for USA all tournament.

Are you from another country? If so I can dismiss the errors if not, then you my friend..are "dummier."

Agrree on Waddell. Patrick is the only choice. Pleau is useless. Poile has built good teams but he doesn't seem to able to add the final pieces to the puzzle.

What about O'Connell? He'd try to trade Modano to Latvia for Skrastins, Saviels, and Vasilijevs.

How do you not put that in the net?

If there was a team sport on ice where the goal was to miss as many sure goal opportunities as possible, US would be in serious medal contention.

You just gotta wonder if Waddell is picking for the US water polo team as well. I could see Tchachuk playing in the "hole" with all of that girth.

I just wish the "old" Bill Guerin was playing. There is no nasty streak left in that guy...hence the lack of scoring and impact on these games for the US

That wasn't a high stick. It was under his knees anyway.

You can't make a call 3 minutes after it happens just because the guy got up slowly. ****ing linesman.
