"45' A FINE MESS: Well this is an honour Italy can do without (possibly a record) as Mickey Goulet's side is called for too many men on the ice twice within the space of one minute!"

What.. is their coach smoking to do it not once but twice?

Italy would be in serious trouble without their half-canadiens, especially Muzzatti.

I thought Redden was supposed to be playing with Foote. What did he do to get stuck with McCabe?

Is Bertuzzi hurt? Don't think I've seen him since early in the third.

I haven't heard his name in a while either.

edit: he's out there now. I think he missed a shift or two because his linemates were penalty killing.

ok really stupid question but why don't they have the clock on countdown like it usually is?

i'm not used to it this way and I keep thinking there's that much time left! doh

Maybe they're resting Foote since he's hurt

I don't think a performence in a game that means little to nothing is a way to gauge Brodeur for this tourney. For those saying that we need to go to Luongo for the rest of this tourney, wake up.

Well, that is how it is done outside North America.....you've got 12 days to get used to it....

Interesting that they count time upwards, but penalties downwards.... :dunno:

This game is like a deja-vú from last years world championships, Brodeur looked just as shaky back then in his first couple games, but at the end of the tournament he was among the very best goalies, so i wouldn't worry about him that much.

Two things:

GREAT GAME ITALY! I bet the country will be so proud by the effort put in out there, just fantastic

Secondly:

Good to see the Canadian men have some class and don't play to run up a score :banghead: ...or is it too early in the tournament to make such a comment :help:
