What's with the scoring plays? Not sure of the official scoresheet, but Bertuzzi should have three points right now, but I only saw him get credit on the first goal. Not that it's a huge thing, but that kind of stuff bugs me.

If he put his stick on the ice or closed his legs, it's 6-0 instead of 6-2. I hate his style of putting one knee down and trying to kick at pucks on the ice.

I give him the first goal as one of those that's just an oopsie and happens from time to time. The second goal was weak.

how long are the intermissions? 10 minutes? I missed the opening minute (and Italian goal) before...

Bertuzzi looks really solid so far, he's been extremely solid down low for Canada. I actually like the looks of a Doan-Richards-Bertuzzi line and I'd like to see Smyth move up to a line with Iginla and Sakic. That would leave Canada with four very effective line that can score and play defence...

I counted three assists also. The IIHF boxscore says 2, but that's wrong.

I guess it's ironic that the only line coming into the tournament with a history of playing together (as a three-some) and that should have some chemistry, can't get it going (21-97-61). Everyone else is scoring, they should get on the board in the 3rd.

....Man, I love these 5AM games though. If there's anything to turn me into a Morning person.... a pot of coffee, a hockey game and I'm primed to have a great day! :yo:
4am for me....and I don't drink coffee.. :help:

Will Quinn let Luongo and Turco play a game?

Not soon enough imo. I love Brodeur for his past but I think his better days may be behind him now.

Musatti has been more impressive than Brodeur so far!

No way, a couple of the goals on him have been pretty shakey. Brodeur hasn't been super impressive, Musatti isn't making me want the Oilers to sign him.

yet.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet elsewhere, but Blake, Pronger, Iginla and Gagne were named the alternate captains.

I think that there are more deserving players than Gagne. Captain Canada (Smyth) comes to mind.
