GDT: GDT #70 New York Islanders vs Columbus Blue Jackets | March 24th | 7:30 PM | F/SOL 4-3

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
This league should just fold and the referees assigned to clean toilets at Arby’s for the rest of their life

Though I’m not sure they’re even qualified for that

We can't find evidence that something didn't happen. So we will assume something did.
That is some seriously f***ed up logic by the f***tards in Toronto.
There was plenty of evidence it was a good goal.

I get the feeling the refs and perhaps the league are giving Columbus the benefit of the doubt this season after the tragedy in the off-season and I wouldn't be surprised a bull shit call like that and Toronto deciding not to over turn it is a result of that

Just call it a goal! Situation room should be there to say hey no way look at this again, should be called off
Exactly. That ref had no business waving the goal off like that when it wasn't a clear/egregious interference. That's a ref wanting to be the show - makes me sick. Let it go and then allow the Situation Room decide if it's... a situation.

I could list 15 teams I have no issues with
It’s kind of strange to hate half the league though (and seemingly the entire Eastern Conference).

Especially teams like Florida who have been nothing but good to us (lose to us in the playoffs twice in the last decade, then beat NYR)

Im going to guess that TO was not happy at the ref putting that out there.

If you think a referee is thinking about giving Columbus borderline calls because of that in the third period of a tie game 70 games into the season you need to have your head examined.

Look at it this way...
Toronto Loves Every Team who is going against the Isles.
It's always been this way.
When we shook the record books from '79 to '83, The Eggheads up North have always had a Bug Up Their Asses about us.
19 straight playoff wins....
Nobody has done that since and nobody ever f***ing will!!!!

If the refs can’t call the game properly, everything that goes in the net should be a goal. If it needs to be reviewed, leave it to the situation room. The refs are trash.
That's the thing. He could have just allowed the goal and then had it reviewed. In which case it stands as a good goal. The review simply allowed the error to stand. What sort of system is that???

well again I am guessing the league and the refs are probably hoping Columbus gets the final spot just as the feel good story after what happened and they have the power to give team edges
