Hades

I really liked it, but I'm at the point that I reach with every roguelike I've ever played. It's a grind. The first 2 bosses are pretty much trivial at this point and the 3rd one I beat every time, but it's just a question of how much damage it does to my run. I am consistently getting into the second phase of the last boss, but just can't get by it and then feel so demoralized knowing that I have to play another 45min just to get another crack at it and hope that I get some good perks.

Battlebit Remastered
Fallout 1 (Started last night, I'm wanting to do a complete playthrough of 1 up to 4, won't include 76)
Age of Empires IV
Dave the Diver (SO good. Please check it out)
Soulstone Survivors

Also just bought Raincode for my Switch and will be playing that some until Pikmin 4 arrives later this week and then I will mostly be on that.

It's hard for me to just play one thing at a time unless I am just SUPER hooked onto a game.

I got Soulstice on the Fanatical bundle since it was so cheap. The cheapest it has been outside of that bundle was like $24 and the bundle is as low as $10. It's a spectacle fighter that plays similar to DMC, it's a really under-represented genre. It's supposedly pretty long. It's supposed to be like 20 hours. I'm about 5 hours in and having a blast. The game play is really tight. The story seems pretty standard for the genre as does the level design.

I'm really glad it went on sale for so cheap so soon. It's not the most popular genre and it's an indie title so I doubt it'll ever get the praise it deserves.

It's the soundtrack that is terrific :)

I do love the soundtrack

There is also something satisfying about building up your troops and towns. Without some luck on the travel spells and skills it can be a bit of slog moving around.

The game is still popular and played competitively in some parts of the world - mostly eastern Europe.

The tricky thing about HOMM 3, particularly at the higher difficulty levels, is that you can't afford to make a mistake and lose a stack. It can be pretty demanding that way.

I always end up taking up so much time exploring, moving every hero through every town, to maximize spellbooks and gain every possible item.

Logistics and pathfinding are probably the best skills in the game. ;)

I liked HOMM 4 as well (in that your heroes can be in combat) but HOMM 5 was disappointing IMO.

Yea totally those are the key skills - I am sucker for Earth Magic and Town Portal for troop gathering haha

I've been playing off and on for like 20 years so I think I am good for a casual.

But you can def min/max and use heavy micro for really strong play. I used to play hotseat all the times with friends and I think were lots of people go 'wrong' so to speak is fighting the tough early game battles to start your snowball.

I am 16 hours in. I loved the old GoW games and was disappointment with 2018. But in Ragnarok they fixed a lot of my complains, especially enemy variety and boss battle variety.

Game looks stunning on the PS5 aswell.

I was the other way, never really played the old ones and really liked the 2018, only about 3-4 hrs into Ragnarok and liking what I see so far

Splitting time with FFXVI and Divinity Original Sin 2. I actually purchased DOS2 last year to be a game I could co-op with my girl(who’s not a gamer) but when we started it, I found it wasn’t something we could jump into together as even I struggled initially . I ended up taking the reigns and am now effectively soloing it and honestly, it’s one of the best games I’ve played in a long time. Baldurs Gate III was on my “wait until my backlog is clear” list but seeing as I’m greatly enjoying my DOS2 run, I might end up with Baldurs Gate III when it comes out for ps5

On rotation on my Switch:
Metroid Prime
A Short Hike
Yoku's Island Express

I've found that table top mode + pro controller a great combo for long haul flights.

Got 2 hours of SoS in last night (usually as much as I get in on weekdays, being almost 40) and although I barely cracked the surface I had a very good time. The music is tremendous.
