I started playing Neon White and I'm having an absolute blast with it so far. I don't really care one way or the other for the anime cut scenes between levels but everything else is top notch. The gameplay is amazing. I'm also loving the aesthetics and music. I can see why it's 98% positive on Steam.

NieR: Automata was on sale recently and I picked it up. Just started playing recently. I've heard so many good things about it. Can already see why with some really good combat, music and art direction.

The story and world seems really cool too. It's nice for once to have such a black-and-white characterization of the bad guys to keep things simple. Humans are good and robots are bad, seems obvious. Sure some of the robots seem to be exhibiting emotions, almost humanlike. It's probably nothing though, I mean they're robots. Glory to Mankind!

With the recent Spring Sale still going on, I bought the Supergiant package. I wanted to test out Bastion and their previous catalog prior to Hades, and while I already own Hades on PS5, I didn't really care about having it twice in my collection as they are a smaller team and given the price I have no problem supporting them twice. So, I've started Bastion, but am also re-playing Hades a bit. Can't wait for Hades 2.

NieR Replicant ver 1.22 is better imo. And yes I'm aware Automata is the one that got all the awards.

I've played though 3 whole playthroughs of the RE2 remake recently after getting it for 10$ on the Capcom sale. Wish I had played it sooner already bought the Remake for RE4 for tomorrow's release.

I've been trying out a few games on XBOX gamepass, while my ultimate trial is still valid.

Wo Long seems really good in terms of combat. There's some Souls-like and Sekiro elements, but with a distinct flavor. I'm debating buying it eventually, but I'm strongly considering subscribing to gamepass. It's just such a good product. I love being able to play any game on my tablet anywhere.

I've also tried Bannerlord... but to be honest it kind of disapointed me. I mean, it's a great game and I loved Warband. But, it honestly just feels like a DLC with modded graphics.

Anyways, I still have to finish Pathfinder: WotR (only the last boss remains) and Kingdom Come Deliverance (I'm about two thirds through). Both games have been brilliant.

Yea Bannerlord in early access was like this is pretty cool - you could build up something really good from this foundation. But then they didn't really add much or fix much since then.

For someone who’s never played a Mount and Blade game, is Bannerlord the best place to start?

I finally got around to playing the Shadow of the Colossus remake after I said I would. I love it. I just hate Wander's face. It's the only bad part.

I'm hooked (no pun) on Dredge, a new game for PC, XB, PS and Switch. It's a somewhat casual RPG-like fishing game with New England and Lovecraftian atmosphere. You start off with a very basic ship and must go out and fish at scattered spots. Fishing involves quick and easy minigames, followed by a little inventory tetris (which is its own little puzzle minigame). You then take the fish to town and sell them to get money to upgrade your ship and fishing equipment in order to sail faster, fish faster, carry more and fish different and deeper types of water for more exotic and valuable species. At the same time, you explore the archipelago, discovering things (like wrecks and ruins) and meeting NPCs that give you quests (like bringing in certain fish or retrieving valuables from wrecks). As you progress, a sinister local mystery starts to unfold. There's a day/night cycle that goes by quickly (in only 5-10 minutes) and the challenge is to get as much fishing or other stuff accomplished while it's light and get back to port before it gets too dark. Staying out too late is dangerous and scary because it increases your panic meter and you start to see things and get attacked. There are occasional monsters that you need to avoid during the day, too, and you can die, but it autosaves every time that you're in port (i.e. every 5-10 minutes), so you never lose much progress. For the most part, it's not a very stressful game, so long as you're careful and don't get caught out at night too often. It's addictive, though, because I find myself wanting to play for "one more day" in order to complete a quest or get the money to buy an upgrade. The game reminds me a little of Outer Wilds with its small, open world, short time cycle, mystery to unravel and relatively casual gameplay. If that combined with some RPG elements and a nautical theme sounds up your alley, I recommend it.

Giving Path of Exile’s new league a look. I’ve only played a little bit of PoE in the past, never made it to the end game. Following a guide this time to hopefully get me there. I have like an hour’s worth of bounties to do on Diablo 3 to get the platinum but I’m pretty burnt out on it at the moment.

Yeah, I appreciated that it was different and getting it on sale seems like a good call. It's not horribly overpriced at $24.99, but it's understandable that some people may want to pay a little less if they're going to get no more than just 15 hours of gameplay.

Kind of funny considering how many AAA games are $60, not even 15 hours, and people don't think "Well the price should be less because it was only 10 hours long."

I hate how expensive some of these games are getting but it's probably also because so many expensive games suck these days IMO. I would be ecstatic to pay $25 for a 15 hour game if I really love it.

Ryse: Son of Rome.

Still trying to figure out the controls. Learning curve is pretty steep. I'm stuck at the 3rd mission and keep dying at the easiest difficulty. I'm not used to "sword" games haha.

I generally don't understand why anyone pays full price for a game at all these days. If it's a big release you're really excited for then fine, but whatever platform you're on (not you, Nintendo) there are always sales and always games available to you.
