I don't even remember the last time I paid more than like $40 for a game. On PC you can usually pre-order even AAA games close to $40 but games are always released incomplete and in a broken state. My backlog is so long, I just buy them when they're at least half off unless it's an indie game I really want.
I never pay more than 30$ for my physical Xbox games. Plus I can exchange games I've beaten for games I want to play. I don't have the urge to play the newest releases. I call myself a cheap gamer.

Oh look Transistor's on sale for 2.99. There you go. It's easy. Why would I just buy it when I know I'm not going to play it immediately and can wait for an inevitable sale?

Playing Breath of the Wild in anticipation of what will likely be another masterpiece in Tears of the Kingdom. The game is still incredible. I rarely replay games, but I still have that sense of wonder exploring that world... and I actually don't really like exploring in open world games. It's so rare to see AAA games with this much care.

Started a few new games while on vacation this week:

Turbo Golf Racing - It's Rocket League in golf form. It's really fun but there's practically no community so you're up against 5-6 bots and 1-2 other human players. The major problem with that is that they have ranks and to keep the queue times low, they just keep pairing you up against top rank players so you don't stand much of a chance at winning. Still pretty fun to just mess around a few holes and see what you can do at a time.

Resident Evil 4 - I bought this for a friend for his birthday and we do Steam family sharing. Now that he's done with it. It's my turn. I tried playing the original years ago on PC and thought it aged horribly. I only got to like chapter 4 before giving up on it. Now I get to play a more modernized version.

PlateUp! - This is a cooking management game where you have to optimize everything from kitchen placement to actually cooking food on order. It's great fun alone, it's even more fun with a friend!

The New Colossus is superior to Youngblood in every way. And I'm a fan of the series since Wolfenstein 3D.

So much wrong with that game. The system with ammo and armor types, has to be the worst thing you can implement in a fast-paced FPS like Youngblood. The level system gatekeeping you from content is the cherry on top.

I saw that Wolfenstein 2 and Youngblood will be coming to Plus shortly so I'm giving the first one a go, solid after 10 minutes lol
I was expecting a continuation of the awesomeness of the first games and it was at the start then it went down hill quick. Man such a disappointing game.

Currently playing

PGA Tour 2K3
Kena: Bridge of Spirits (finishing this up)
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores
Destiny 2
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Playing this mostly
MLB The Show 23 - LOVE this game.

..and in a couple of days Dead Island 2

Resident evil 4 remake although I'm stuck bad on the insignia key puzzle in chapter 2.

I can't figure it out it doesn't even look like It's supposed to be anything It's just a bunch of random dots.

Playing around with the newest MLB the Show on Game pass

Contemplating the next target, between Burning Shores, Dead Space Remake, God of War, or Dead Island 2
I'd go with Burning Shores first (cheapest and shortest), God of War (I think New Game + is out now and they've added more stuff since launch), Dead Space with Dead Island 2 last (it just launched, usually games ship with bugs now)

Trying to finish up the challenges on RDR2. Unfortunately, I re-started my playthrough a while ago and started the challenges on the file where I'm still in chapter 3. So now I need to keep moving through the story until I can do more challenges. ugh.

Yeah I was leaning towards Burning shores first, there is also Metroid Prime Remastered as a possibility, I like to bounce from platform to platform, and not play too similar of games back to back to keep things fresh, probably putting too much thought into it

I do the same, try to mix up the genres so a new game doesn't feel stale

Having recently finished all of them... just give up, it's not worth it.

Dead Island 2 is pretty bug free except for this one I found but the chances of players running into this is slim to none.

With all the DI 2 hype I bought Dead Island Definitive Edition. Pretty awesome game so far (played around 3 hours and am in act 2).

Also some Mario Kart, Yoshis Island and Hyrule Warriors on the switch, waiting for Tears of the Kingdom.
