I am really lacking any interest in anything to play as I wanted to try something newer but decided to give Prey a go since it was free. I’m probably only an hour in but this game seems super fun so far. I don’t know if it will end up being similar or not but it reminds me of Control early on and I absolutely loved that game.
Been planning on starting WOTR soon, loved Kingmaker (totally unrelated nerd note... if Pathfinder floats your boat, check out The Glass Cannon Podcast. By far and away the best actual play tabletop RPG podcast out there. Pathfinder and they follow Giant Slayer adventure path. It's stellar. Nerd note over). Also been meaning to reload Kingdom Come again. Kind of bounced off it on release.I'm at the end of Pathfinder WOTR. Incredible game, I'll do a write up once I've finished it up, but it's up there with DOS2 and BG2 as my favorite cRPG. I'm leaving the ending as a sort of reward for my vacation that's starting Friday.
Right now, I restarted kingdom come deliverance as I was around halfway through and that's yet another brilliant RPG. It's insane to me this was made by a AA développer un Czechia. I know it was a buggy mess at launch but now that it's fixed, it's a great immersive experience.

Probably not the one to start with as thats the end of the trilogy. Batmobile aside, that’s a great game, though.Started my 1st Batman: Arkham game with Arkham Knight. Not sure if it's my type of game.
To be fair, I know it's not for everyone, but The Glass Cannon is a podcast... nothing you need to watch. It's so good. Not really interested in watching TTRPGs. Though I do like the mechanics of Pathfinder/DnD and wish there were more games like Pathfinder and Baldur's Gate, with not only the mechanics but really strong stories. If you loved Kingmaker, I think wotr is going to be right up your alley as it improves on it in pretty much every way. The mythic paths are just awesome.
KCD is also brilliant, but for other reasons. It kind of reminds of the old ultima games from when I was a kid. Every NPC has a routine and I love the immersion.
Oh Lord, the batmobile. Yep. Even though I forgot about that, the games are solid.Probably not the one to start with as thats the end of the trilogy. Batmobile aside, that’s a great game, though.
I started with that and while I plan to go back to Asylum and City at some point, compared to the game I just described, the story was pretty easy to pick up for anyone somewhat familiar with Batman.Probably not the one to start with as thats the end of the trilogy. I started Dome Keeper on PC and it's addictive. It's a 2D pixel art roguelike that's part mining game and part tower defense game. I'm really going to show my age here, but it's like if you combined Dig Dug with Missile Command. You start with your base on the surface of a harsh planet, protected by a glass dome, and must dig down into the ground for resources and haul them back up to your base. There, you can spend them on upgrades which can be to your suit (ex. drill power, movement speed), your dome (ex. laser power, health) or on new gadgets.
Every few minutes, a wave of creatures on the surface attacks your dome and you have to get back in time and kill them with your laser before they destroy your dome (which is game over). The waves get increasingly harder and you end up having to dig really deep to keep finding resources (making the trip longer), so it gets pretty challenging. In the end, what you're really looking for is a well-buried artifact that, once found and recovered, initiates the final wave. Surviving that achieves victory and unlocks a new tech that you can then use in the next game.
Each game takes up to an hour and is a learning experience. On my first game, I lost because I was figuring out the mechanics. On my second, I had a much better idea of what to do (especially early on) and won, but could've done things even better. I'm already thinking about my next game. As I said, it's addictive. That said, I can see the replay value dropping off once I've beaten it half a dozen times and unlocked and tried out every tech in the game, but I'm enjoying it so far and I'm not the biggest roguelike fan.

any good? Felt like a forced remake imo. Nintendo could have done something better.Skyward Sword HD - just got started, maybe an hour or two in

I have to say that Metro; Last Light is more fluid, has better graphics and a more intelligible story. This is an example of perfecting a formula in the sequel.Metro 2033 (redux version)
It's a little clunky as it's a game from 2010. Controls and graphics are dated but they nailed the ambiance.
I thought Last Light's story was absolutely terrible in comparison to 2033.I have to say that Metro; Last Light is more fluid, has better graphics and a more intelligible story. This is an example of perfecting a formula in the sequel.
