this was one of the weakest episodes for s6. Why the **** was arya acting like an idiot for the past two episodes. Just staring at the sunset. Lukily she's going home, but what was the point of these past two seasons. I guess it can all be forgiven if they do the one thing i've waited the past 3 years for next week . Kill Ramsay Snow.

That episode was ****ing terrible.

1. Arya is just a complete moron and was indeed watching the sunset last episode. Also God bless her miraculous ability to heal wounds!

2. Dany with another one of her usual cliche intros

3. Blackfish dying off screen

4. The Waif dying off screen

5. HBO completely ****ing with us, showing the clip of Pod being strangled in the trailer, only for it to be a complete non factor involving Bronn (although it was funny)

Handily the worst episode of this season.

Might as well rename Arya Wolverine.

Have to disagree with you on Pod. IMO that was very obvious from the trailer.

 The actual parts of the battle are shown in the trailer, and it is directed by the guy who did Hardhome. They have him specifically to film battles.

This.

Plus, they've already said that this will be the biggest battle they've ever filmed.

And another thing. If HBO is so concerned with budgets then why waste a penny on that "After the Thrones" crap?

I'd say this episode was the 2nd worst of the season, only better than episode 1. Still better than most of season 5 though, as we did get some good stuff.

Not happy with how the Braavos and Riverrun stories went.

Brynden Tully dying in a battle: off-screen.
Robert being attacked by the boar: off-screen.
Stannis attacking Winterfell: off-screen.
What happened at the Fist of the First Men: off-screen.
The battle of the Green Fork: off-screen.

Budget this, budget that but they show us the crap in Dorne, Arya washing bodies for 2 years and Miss Sunday telling jokes.

I'd agree with this.

Next episode looks hype as ****.

Some of that would have been a waste of time to show but yeah they should just cut out the filler stuff.

Filming some dialogue scenes is far cheaper than large scale battles. It isn't even comparable.

Damn, that episode was lame. The Hound/BWB was good and the King's Landing stuff wasn't bad. I'm really at the point where I just could not care less about what's happening in Essos. The waif being a T-1000 was almost as bad as Arya being able to run around with a bunch of stab wounds.

And next week we get to look forward to Jon Snow losing a battle and getting saved by LF.

Gotta agree with the sentiment that this episode was kind of crap. Everything happens off-screen in the dumbest way... Arya's actually an idiot, but gets away with it.

Only thing I enjoyed was Tommen absolutely ****ing over Cersei. That was a solid plot move.

Cleganebowl canceled.

Jon is heavily outnumbered, he should lose unless some other Northern house comes to his side at the battle. I hope we see them use some smart tactics and do quite well despite the numbers, but still be losing, and for LF to show up to turn the battle in their favor. If they are getting slaughtered and LF just shows up and saves them, it will be a bit lame.

That episode was outright season 5 bad, IMO. Arya indeed just being stupid the last episode is pretty unforgivably bad writing, now compounded by her miraculous healing ability. After being badly wounded, going right back to Jaquen just to tell him off is another one of those cliches shoe-horned in to force a dramatic exchange of dialogue, when in reality it doesn't make sense to take that risk. The terminator chase that led up to it was aesthetically pretty lame as well.

I like the strategic thought with Edmure, but Blackfish being stubborn and dying off screen is totally anti-climactic-- and again, the decision kind of makes the whole build-up to this feel like a waste of time.

The Tyrion jokes scene was one of the most cringeworthy things this show has ever done-- I would say on par with the Sand Snakes worst moments. Just awful.

The Hound scene was fine/solid. Overall though, I still would prefer if he didn't come back--- It kind of completely negates the power of his last moment with Arya and feels like a cop-out.

I know it would require choreography and such, but why not just show Blackfish taking down like 10 guys with him and then getting overwhelmed. Can't be that expensive.

So GRRM wanted to tell the story of arya becoming an assassin with feelings? and this is how they went about with it?

Shes a complete idiot who gets stabbed in broad daylight knowing full well that someone would find out that she didn't kill the actress.

She proceeds to get stabbed TWICE, jumps off a bridge, swims to shore, walks to wherever the hel the play is, all while bleeding out. Then she somehow doesn't die from blood loss, gets patched up and takes a nap and all within a day she somehow can now jump off a balcony just fine, run like a mile, jump another large distance and finally crash through a bunch of fruit stands until she finally feels the effects of being stabbed and starts hurting properly. But don't worry, she'll just trap walf with some candles and kill her apparently the only way she can possibly kill a person, while being completely blind.

and then she just completely abandons the whole "no name" thing and tells jaq to **** off and now wants to go back to her plot from like 3 years ago. Seems legit.
