OMG Runner!!!!!The Dallas Stars are coming off a 3-2 overtime road loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs on October 20th. They've won the other three games they've played, for a record of 3-0-1. They're expected to bounce back strong after the narrow loss they suffered.
Habs instead, enjoyed quite the night having defeated the lowly Coyotes at home, 6-2.
However, they're the underdogs in their Stars tilt.
It may just have been the Coyotes, but several Habs stood out. Take the game's first star:
No less impressive was the "guy who kills people" as per Slaf.
Wifi had his regular season coming out party in a big way by engaging in fisticuffs with one of the league's toughest hombres, a veteran of 39 NHL fights. Safe to say, Arber was not intimidated.
You could tell from the early going that Arber's signal was coming out loud and clear.
In fact, one could even say that the connection was firmly established.
Additional tests showed that reception was optimal.
We even retained the services of Larry the Cable Guy, for further validation.
As for Kassian, he still doesn't know what hit him.
One can hardly imagine that not so long ago, Arber's products could have been sampled for free at his local Costco!
Not to be overshadowed in all of the excitement that was the Arizona game, there is the constant threat and welcome addition that has been Sean Monahan. The biggest surprise was how he has come back healthy (knock on wood) and how he's not lost his uncanny ability to always be at the right place at the right time.
Monahan had a goal against the Coyotes and in his 5 games this season, he has posted 2 goals and 1 assist for 3 points. A good start for a guy who's missed a lot of time to injuries and surgeries over the past few years.
No doubt about it, he's money.
However, with so much of Monahan's career having been spent with the Flames, what do we really know about him?
He apparently had 6 surgeries in the 4 years that preceded his trade to the Habs. Which prompted a fan to quip: "Can we still even call him Sean Monahan at this point? Dude's been entirely replaced."
The story goes that Monahan is more machine than man, no small thanks to the massive amounts of titanium alloy having been infused into his body.
Confidential records obtained from "a well-placed NHL executive" who usually feeds nuggets to Marco D'Amico, have revealed that this is how it played out for Monahan, behind closed doors:
"Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first Titanium Man. Sean Moneyhands will be that man."
