The NCAA has a terrific combination of coaching, facilities and the perfect schedule for development. The US hockey program is arguably the best right now, with Finland and Sweden.

I think Finland suffers from prospect moving on too quickly. Theres not a lot of them that spend more than their D+1 there.

And we get a chance to wait longer before signing them and get much more mature players. On long shots it's worth it. Some players need the time and sometimes the org needs the time too (contract count).
