Why? He has the worst pad rebound in history. Hes an athletic goaltender than can catch almost anything, his weakness lies in scrums because he kicks pucks in front of him.

He had this sort of hiccup in his stride when he first came in: He used to slightly jump as he was doing his crossovers. He doesn't do that anymore from what I've seen and it's a big improvement.

Caufield must have gained a bit of weight this offseason. He's bumping guys and is much harder to knock off the puck than he used to be.

Our D are getting good pucks on net but the forwards aren't banging home the rebounds

was thinking how last few years , our so called top dmen, like weber and petry and chariot , would miss the net on more then half their shots...
Might be an impression, but those rookies seem to hit the net vert very consistently
