Caufield must have gained a bit of weight this offseason. He's bumping guys and is much harder to knock off the puck than he used to be.
Trying to stay in the league (2021 w Ducharme) VS belonging and being assertive (2022 w St-Louis). And a few more pounds of muscle, yeah ;)

That didn't feel like we had double their shots, but I guess we did.

High Danger Chances For are 7-2 for Minnesota. That feels more in line with what I saw in the first.

Can't wait for the rotation of Drouin, Dadonov, and Hoffman is replaced with Heineman next year. HuGo have to find a way to eliminate the Hoffman contract.
I expect Ylonen, RHP and Farrell to be with the big team too. It’s going to be so much fun to watch

His interview with Slaf was one of the worst ever.
I’ve seen that nightmare before. Whenever Luc Gélinas interviews someone who doesn’t have a perfect mastery of English, his warbled questions get misunderstood and awkwardness ensues.

Gélinas also doesn’t have the quickest delivery which makes him completely unsuited to the type of rapid fire exchanges you need on such short interactions. And yet, RDS keeps parading that shame-bucket during every pre-game warmup.

Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher are HUSTLING (finally).

We need them to PLAY LIKE THAT.

There's a HUGE PLUS for our team when they're ON FIRE (which isn't so often).

That was a really great no score period. The defence has impressed me so far this season. Every pairing has their positives and does what they're supposed to do well enough. Obviously Savard and to a far lesser extent Guhle have been over their heads a lot of the nights but it's hard out there with their competition and Guhle looks better almost every game. Xhekaj and Wideman are inconsistent but i've actually been impressed with how steady Wideman has been and Xhekaj is capable of playing some really great hockey on top of being fun to watch. Harris and Kovacevic face lesser competition but with that said I think they move the puck very well and the more the season moves along the more comfortable they both look.

It'll be interesting who sits to say the least

He had this sort of hiccup in his stride when he first came in: He used to slightly jump as he was doing his crossovers. He doesn't do that anymore from what I've seen and it's a big improvement.
I saw that too, when they (i coach m11/m13) jump on cross-overs usually the under-push is weak or non-existent and it's not smooth. McDavid has a beautifull under-push and he gains a lot of speed there. I'm happy he fixed his stride as short legs need optimal technique to compensate. Yep, the kid wanna be good and he does what needs doing. Good.
