Ivan played 6 minutes lol

Way to reward the kid for busting his ass in the first 3 games
Parker Kelly's stupid ass played 12:43.

How is this absolute idiot playing double Ivan Ivan who has been playing his heart out and making heads up play after heads up play. Even has a crossbar hit and an assist on MacKinnon's goal.

Bednar is a f***ing comedy show sometimes with his decision making.

Bednar won't be fired before December 1st at the very earliest. And by then, Lehky, Drouin, and Nuke will be back.

They'll probably go like 10-4-1 in November and be back to .500 or slightly above by then anyway.

Once some of these scrubs are replaced with real players they'll start winning again. The only thing thay may cause issues is the goaltending but I honestly think between Juice and Kahkonen one of them will give us .900 which will be enough to grind back to .500 hockey again by December.

However. This start is absolutely exposing the overall depth as being a major concern. Sure at full health with everyone playing in the right spots, look pretty good. But as soon as we take even just 1 or 2 injuries, the guys we have as 13/14Fs and 7/8Ds are simply scrubs and it immediately becomes an issue. The guys who are playing bottom 6 look way worse as soon as they move up 1 line... etc. etc.

Gonna need quite a bit of work at the deadline again.

Based on what we've seen so far, it seems that MacFarland is going after players he has always wanted. They're not necessarily bad players, but there isn't really a vision in terms of how they fit the entire structure of the team or Bednar's tactics. They wanted to get bigger, they did that, but that didn't work. Now they went back to speed, and it seems there is an off-balance with some players not fitting in.
The Avs, Nucks, and oilers have all got off to less than ideal starts but the oilers and their fans should be the most worried.
Silovs has been bad but Lankinen hopefully continues his solid play until Demko gets back and the team finds some chemistry, team also has assets and cap to make a big trade.

You guys are missing a bunch of guys, along with new faces while the oilers do have new players but are basically healthy with no hope of any upgrades on D or forward till the TDL while having a far worse team this year along with bad goaltending.

Avs will be fine!

I'm more concerned about the depth on defense than anything. Any team's depth would be bad if they were missing 4 top 6 forwards. But we're seeing how bad the defense is just from losing Toews.

The lines if Wood and Kovalenko end up out...

Colton - Mack - Mikko
Kivi - Mitts - Ritchie
Ivan - Kelly - LOC
Steinburg - Wagner - Some AHL scrub
Man that is so damn bad. Still the offense will probably continue scoring, keeping the puck out of the net is impossible though.
