At least for this year, Bruins are in a pretty tough spot with him.

They don’t have a surplus of secondary scoring talent by any means and they don’t have the cap room to acquire anyone else for that role lest they give up significant asset(s).

I think Jake is here until the end of this year no matter what and we’ve just got to hope he can turn it on. After all, it’s happened before.

Agreed.

If a Nosek type player had the game debrusk just had we’d be ecstatic.

You need more than JDBs shown all year for the talent he has, the minutes he gets, and the money he’s making.

Plenty of time to turn it around though. Just not an encouraging start for a guy in a contract year who also had questions on if he wanted to stay here

From watching some away broadcasts this year, I’m not actually sure if Jack is that much more biased than other PbP guys.

He’s definitely louder and more annoying about it.

But the one sided takes are there from every announcer.

The Florida PbP guy (I think Steve Goldstein?) will just randomly blurt out “missed penalties” in the flow of his game call for things that never even happen. It’s subtle indoctrination as opposed to Jack’s hysteria.

Florida with one penalty with how they play?

The Bruins wanted 2 points rather than a statement about the playoffs, disappointing. Take a number for the regular season match up.

McAvoy hit was hardly a match penalty but it was a mental lapse and worthy of a major. Suspension? Likely seeing as Clifton just received one for a relatively minor hit as well. Perhaps the NHL finally becomes consistent about concussions but we will see after this one.
