Franchises are judged on championships, well the good one's are. The franchises that are content about their image and the # of years they've been in the league versus actual silverware is what separates the Devils and the Rangers I guess.

I know plenty about the history of hockey and I know enough that the Rags had a one in six shot to win the cup for multiple years and failed. Where other teams better then them, maybe, but that doesn't take away the fact that you didn't win anything and that's that. When we won our cups, the majority would tell you that we weren't the most dominating team in the league, yet, we found a way to raise Lord Stanley and that's what it's all about. We don't celebrate 2nd place and we're always in contention... can't say the same about the Rags and that magic twinkle everyone should have when walking in the most famous arena in the world (love that circus show btw... and I'm not talking about the animals)

I'll give Hank the pleasure of using a nickname that doesn't represent him, he can be called Jesus Lundqvist for all I care, the record books tell the true story behind the athlete, not the nickname.

Gold. Wonderful post.

Drafted 15th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft from the USNTDP of the USHL.

Signed his ELC almost immediately, making him ineligible for North Dakota of the WCHA of the NCAA. Went to Plymouth of the OHL who owned his CHL rights. Where he was over PPG player last year. 62 points in 61 games.

This year, he won gold at the WJC with USA. Has been maturing as a professional in Hartford.

Called up.

Big kid, skates very well. Strong. Responsible, physical player. Very good hands and intelligence. Underrated playmaking skills. Good on faceoffs. Great character. Works his ass off. Solid board play. Solid around the net.

Comparables: Mike Richards, Ryan Kesler, Dustin Brown, Brandon Dubinsky.

Going to be a heck of player.

You know Volch is gonna be fired up with his spot on the line. He's obviously the next to sit besides Larsson.

And whens the last time Volchie gave up a breakaway this season? I can't say anything about hating because I hated Pandolfo BADLY his last few years.

was refering to your forwards and the 6 goaltenders that play defence. Your words. You weren't referring to the defense? Your GM is a genius; no question about it. Franchises are judged in many ways; winning is one. I would not say that the Chicago Cubs are a bad franchise because they haven't won the World Series in over 100 years. There's nothing pathetic about the Rangers. If you knew the history of hockey you would know how stacked the cards were for the Leafs and the Habs during those original six years. btw, REDACTED; had to do it. I have my pride.

Regarding Hank's gold medal, that was brought up because you didn't know how he got his nickname, not as evidence that he is better than anyone else. Although right now he and Jonathan Quick are the best in the league.

Is this post for real or what?

I dont think he has. Im just scared that his missing the keep in will lead to a few with this Rangers team.

I hope Volch succeeds, I like him
