Pete gets a ton of **** from me, but these guys do work hard. It's not Mac era bad. But the talent is just not there. It probably would have been start to just go the rebuild route after last season, but Lou decided to trade the pick for Cory, and sign a brutal contract (Clowe) For what?

I would hold onto Brunner, he wants top six minutes and he seems to do well. Elias won't be traded, that's a long shot. Unless Lou is gone, then its possible. As for the others, I'd take what I can get.

Brunner disappeared but he still has tricky hands.

JMac had a good team and was horrible.
PDB has a horrible team and is horrible.

When JMac was fired there was a sure fire replacement there to step in and put things together.
When you fire PDB....then what? What is they get worst?

Lou decided to pick 29th in a year that he could have forfeited. Who did we get? Stefan Matteau. I have absolutely nothing against Matteau but Lou had to have gone full Pejorative Slur to not give up that 29th pick.

Bottom line is the team is flawed in most areas. This roster and coaching staff will not win, period.

Blow it up, go young for better or worse. Team isn't winning anyways, so we might as well try and develop all our prospects at the same time. Especially on defense.

Yeah, I'm afraid the time has come. There's a decent core of young blue line talent, and vets need to be sold off for picks and forward prospects or young guys who need a chance to break through.

The Devils have avoided rebuilding forever, but the gravy train has to stop at some point. Better to address it now than to potentially wait too long and see things turn into five years of futility or something.

This is the first time I've ever seen an apathetic Zajac. He doesn't ****ing care. He's not trying on defense. He's invisible, on both ends.

Zubrus looks like ****. He doesn't look like he's trying. He's not throwing his body around. He's not forechecking like Zubrus forechecks. He's not winning board battles.

Henrique is coasting like he's in ****ing Albany.

All of our youngsters look like they're afraid of trying ANYTHING creative for fear of ending up next to Lou in the press box.

This team looks like ****. Just as bad as Johnny Mac. I don't know how anyone can watch this game and come out of it thinking we tried.
