I feel disgusted by what has become of that franchise. We used to be so much better than that as a team and that goes for the coaching staff and GM. Playoffs used to be a sure thing. We are in terrible shape and I don't like where we're heading.

It's really looking like we have no choice but to go into full rebuild mode. No more of this. I can't take it anymore. I'd rather suck but with a future to look forward to. Right now we suck and don't have that future.

Unless you have a Kovalchuk in your pocket, I dont see how that's relevant. Not like we can go get a prime Kovalchuk down at the supermarket. He's in Russia and not coming back, and there are not other Kovalchuks hanging around waiting for us to send them a $100 million contract

The offensive effort and system is terrible.

Peter Harrold is terrible.

Tedenby/Harrold can't clear zones = goal 2 and 3.

its not just one guy they all make mistakes and the vets are just average vets.... its a garbage hockey club and they need to make about 5 or 6 trades to get picks and rebuild...

time for marty to retire....time to trade elias to a contender give him a last shot at a cup, trade jagr,

zubrus too isn't a great one


this team is in a world of **** for a few years guys the rebuilt is here and if you don't let it happen you go into the 10 year funk

Sorry but Schneider gave up two weak ass goals, soft as hell. If that was Marty there would be 5 straight pages about how he sucks and should hang em up.

Fayne was horrible this game, two blown coverages, especially on the Dubinski goal, nobody says a peep except BG.

You guys are funny, don't see much *****ing about those blown coverages or soft goals, but hey it's our saviors Fayne and Cory so it's ok. I guess it doesn't fit the narrative of the Marty, Harrold, and Volch bashing that goes on all day everyday.

It's relevant because certain people said all we needed to have 100-point seasons galore again was to get back to our 'team' approach and get rid of the merc who was supposedly dragging the whole organization down. More like he and Parise propped it up during 2012, it's been rotting at the core other than that the last few years.

They've won something like 2 of 22 games without Kovalchuk the last two years. So much for addition by subtraction.

I do like our depth up front but I'll continue to say the same thing... if we don't upgrade our current blueline, we aren't going anywhere.

The simple fact of switching our 3rd pair with a Gélinas-Fayne duo would make all the difference in the world. This team needs mobility, creativity, someone with a hard shot from the point and that's the last thing we're getting out of #28 and Harrold. We don't have the horses to start skating everywhere in the offensive zone so we have to be patient and move the puck around to open some lanes. If we can't feed the points in fear they'll turn it over the second the puck hits their blade, we're basically playing with a man down.

That lack of prospects is what is most depressing. I mean prospects playing for the Devils. All the young players below 24 have done diddly this year. There's no (likely top 5) pick in the first round.

Right now, he's still giving up less than Marty. But it is getting to the point where I'm no longer blaming either of them. It just doesn't seem to make a difference whether Cory/Marty play well or suck. We still lose.
