First period for Lane down. Many comps to PK and I agree. His offensive instincts, and lateral movement remind my so much of Subban. What comes with that style of play is learning to hold you breath when they have the puck, because it feels like they are playing with fire. I love it. Defensively he seems a little loss, but nothing g that can't be coached into him.

First period was a success.

Never seen a more useless team than the Ded Things. Accepting a pass is too much for them. They fall down evert time.

Most on here didn't have much good to say about Lehkonen when he was here. Hindsight is 20/20
Lehkonen will be 29 next season and he plays with one of the best offense of the last 20 years. Colorado 2021-22 was the 8th best offense since 2000. Colorado 2023-24 is after 81 games the 13th best offense since 2000 and they will probably ends up between 12th and 10th. He would not be productive like that here. I like the guy but people should wait to see what we will do with the 2nd round pick this year. Barron is also 22 so he is not necessarily a finished product yet.

He just fits in so well with Colorado. Underrated aspect of Sakic tenure is strengthening what is already good about the team. Fast and energetic play drivers like him are perfect on that team
Playing with better players makes both Drouin and Lehkonen much better.
