Richards said the gait was open and the puck hit a glove............been watching Hockey from the IHL to the NHL for 35 years and never seen or heard of anything like it.

Game is over now.......time to find out how this team moves on after a miserable loss......which only good teams can do

Glad I worked long hours today....too tired for me not to be able to sleep

Anybody that comes into OUR arena and roots for the other team is NO CBJ fan in my book.

That's just not realistic for an expansion team to expect. Every sport its like this. Hell, the Sharks have been around twice as long and there are still 10-20% Wings and Hawks fans when they come to town.

The Sharks are my team. But I have a partial package for the Jackets and I want them to win every game except against the Sharks. I am a Jackets fan, you cannot tell me I am not.

I will when San Jose comes to town. ;)

Not heard that phrase in a long time... 14 years and still an expansion team? Sort of like the Universe expanding eh... ;)

It's just reality, hell, the Sharks are too. All the original 6 will have a huge following in other arenas. Lived in St Louis before Columbus and Blues fans have had to deal with it since the 60's.

Half-watched the game earlier (stupid grading:shakehead), and as heart-breaking as it is to not get at least a point there, we didn't really deserve any. The last two periods were all Hawks, they had a barrage of chances in the third and we were lucky to make it even that late without them pulling ahead.

I'm not upset we lost. I upset in which the way the officials influenced the results on the ice.

Had we won; it was a formality to get to the playoffs. Even a single point would have made it just that much easier. There is only room for one more slip up.

We don't want that slip-up to be with the Islanders on Sunday. We want to be at 91 points before the last game of the season.

Agreed. Yes, I was pissed off how the game ended. But, now I've put it behind me and moved on.

Give me the position the Jackets are in any day compared to where New Jersey, Washington or Toronto are right now. Or compared to where the CBJ were last year with 5 games left.

I was figuring on going 2-2 over the last 4 and they did. Now got to go 3-2 over next 5.

If you guys go 3-2 and the Devils win out Devils are still in. CBJ would need to win 4 to be absolutely certain of their playoff spot.

Yes, I know. I'm saying what I predict will be necessary. If the Devils run the table, congrats to them. I'd like the CBJ to go 5-0 as well, but I'd be comfortable putting significant money in Vegas that 91 points gets the job done.

I missed that. Can someone explain what effect the officials had?

Blew the whistle for a too many men on the ice penalty, then counted the players on the ice (four) and realized they made a mistake. At which point, the faceoff should have been at center ice (as it is when they make a mistake - not to mention the fact that the puck was between the blue lines when they blue the whistle) ... but, they dropped the puck in the Columbus end.

The puck never left the zone, and wound up in the net.

Why was Frattin playing in this game? He was like a sixth Hawk on the ice ---- he would get a pass from a Jacket and give it to a Hawk within 3 seconds. He played one of the worst games I have ever seen a Jacket play and that includes Robert Kron.

Just for putting him into a play off type game, Richards should be fired.

Total ******** ending, here's to hoping being ripped off by the refs, lights a fire under the Jackets and they play with real chips on their shoulders the rest of the way. CBJ are a playoff team this year as far as I'm concerned, they need to play with a "us against the world" mentality from here on, and I see them making some real waves in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Not much. It was a questionable call (faceoff) at the end.

BUT........

Bobrovsky has gotta grab that soft wrister with his glove. He makes that easy pick 99.9% of the time. I love the guy but that was bad.

After he flubbed it all bets were off with the scrum in front.

And getting his face mask whacked by the guy who scored the goal.

In happier news, Skille just scored 4 goals in his first game back. I understand that he's had injury issues but if he isn't called up this weekend there's no excuse.

Richards said post game the gait to the Jackets bench was open and the puck hit a glove....which warranted the faceoff in the jackets zone. Never seen it in 35 years.

It happened, it's over. Get in the playoffs and see what happens there and this game will be history as difficult as it is right now to think about.

If they dwell on this game and feel sorry for themselves, the season is over. If they decide to push on and maybe even be more motivated....who knows what the rest of the season holds.

I am a Blue Jackets fan 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, until they put me in a white bag and tag my toe

GO JACKETS!

I agree with your post but have to mention it's gate... when I read gait my mind sees Richards leaping down the ice in huge leaps and bounds... I never mention spelling but I had to mention this one.. :) ;)
