Rooting for you guys, want to see you get in

Saw the play, brutal blown call by ref

That being said you are still up by a point with a game in hand and you start your last game up 1-0.. Stay positive

Nope. Toronto is in. Thanks though

One of the most bazaar Jacket losses within one minute to go I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a few before… Had the refs not stopped play based on the overturned call the CBJ get a point….Bad stuff by that NHL linesman..

Where's the bench on this? Hinote is smiling at the ref not screaming for them to bring it to the neutral zone.

You could see it in their face after the goal was scored. They had a close up of Calvert, Bob, etc. I think as they zoomed in on Calvert, Calvert said the F work and some other things.

"**** me" is what was said I think...

The rule is, according to post game guys, when a ref blows the whistle by error the faceoff goes to nearest circle where the puck was last in play.... according to that rule (#52) the puck is dropped in our zone.

I'll be pissed until Sunday. If the Leafs lose tomorrow, then I'll be cool and chalk it up as bad luck, but at least we didn't lose any playoff position other than our dreams of destroying Nash in the playoffs.

PRobably over-reactionary but I can't imagine a scenario in which we get in. I just can't. I'm calling it and I'll have fun watching the final 5 games just so I can get my fix until October.

Go Jackets

Which would be alright, except the puck was played in front of the Hawks bench prior to the whistle being blown.

I'm going to blame this loss on the guy that wants to talk about the draft tonight of all nights. Talk about the ultimate jinx.

Those referees should have celebrated the goal all together with Chicago players.

Go Jackets

Over the top, the Jackets still have an excellent chance to make the playoffs....

I'm surprised that this is coming from you. The guy who never gave up all season when some were already jumping off the cliff. You were always staying positive.

It could be the George Costanza opposite approach. Worth a try.

That should tell you about how much I strongly believe that this one will be the crusher. I would love to still be positive and be in here saying it was just bad luck, but I just can't. I really want to be wrong and I want people to quote me and me look like an idiot a week from now.

Somebody better call the coach and tell him to pack it in for the rest of the season since we're already done. Might as well not show up to any of the games. Also, if anyone knows where I can sheath a happy dagger, please let me know.

And it can't be rule 52. Rule 76.2 says "When the game is stopped for any reason not specifically covered in the official rules, the puck must be faced-off at a face-off spot in the zone nearest to where it was last played."

That's SPOT not circle. There's a dot right in front of our bench.
