Guys come on if you’re not getting up for this one what are we doing here?!? We haven’t fought for first place in game 73 in how long! Go put your jersey on!!!
defense mechanism

My mind can't comprehend beating Carolina. Things have been going too well. I'm a beaten dog

Hey guys. Just wanted to drop by and give some info on necas.

Hes been struggling real bad this year, had a 20ish game stretch where he didnt score at all.

Hes been weak on the puck and weak on his skates.

We arent sure if its pressure from it being a contract year or just normal regression but Domi has been playing well and Rod probably wants to see what hes got.

It's funny to see since it appears on paper as though Carolina is stacked at forward and mediocre on defense but they're the best defensive team in the league.
It's a team effort.

You have to give Brindamour a lot of credit. His teams are all in the best shape and play with pace/urgency nearly every game

I think all talks about choosing a captain for the team is the wrong way to go. I think they should keep having just rotating A's. Maybe have a rotating captain just for the sake of who gets more reputation talking with the striped game managers if someone from the core feels particulary chatty before that game.

But for leadership, NYR is absolutely stacked in the room and on the bench. Kreider, Trouba, Zibanejad, etc, etc, etc for alot of guys with great composure. There's no need for a captain if everybody takes responsibility and do their best.

Why choose a captain when you have several leaders while no individual has to specifically face that ridiculous media pressure if the team struggles? It would also be hilarious if the team wins a cup and the stat talkers go bananas when they can't say: "He's the 37th captain born on the first half of the year."

I smell a trap.

So, Necas hat-trick incoming? :sarcasm:

Chytil just can't stay healthy can he? I would love to see how the kid line does for a few games.
Every year he gets going, we get our hopes up that this is what he can be, and then inevitably has an injury for 3-6 weeks+, and isn't the same guy when he returns. Hopefully he's back soon and get going again, but we never know real timetables with our team and coach anymore. Just serious and not so serious, with no other details.

Anyone going, make sure you give yourself extra time. Trains are a disaster with everything going on today and I'm sure security will be heightened tonight at the arena. Terrible that things like this keep happening.

I'm actually driving down, already reserved a parking spot by Hudson Yards.

Reaves on the 4th line is no different than Stepan for Carolina.

Both are slow as shit
9(9) out of 10(0) dmen would rather get hit by Stepan than Reaves. They're both slow and neither is a difference maker these days but who knows, the puck could land on Stepan's stick in a scoring situation or conversely Reaves could deflect it in by accident or have a shot hit him and go in. I don't get this obsessing over 4th line make-up. This isn't the f***ing Olympics or All Star game nonsense. The 4th line is there to give a very small breather to Zibs and Panarin.

Reserving a spot at a lot or something else? I've gotten lucky with 2 Sunday night games and one Thursday game finding available no cost spots in the city within 10 a minute walk from the Garden (one around the corner even!), but I'm not sure how I've gotten so lucky and need to plan accordingly in the future. My plan was to hunt for a while, and then go to a lot, but waiting after the game as tons of other fans retrieve their cars + the cost makes me hesitate.

Yeah I usually reserve a garage spot on the west side, like around 10th Ave, and 29th and 30th street, which is by Hudson Yards. Nice day to walk around. I paid 45 bucks, not terrible.
