Third game in four nights (and tail end of back to back) at the end of the season with a bunch of kids not used to playing this many games playing on the road (and the Sharks being a bad team anyways) against a playoff team. This isn't surprising at all.

Even many good vet heavy Sharks teams were awful in third game in four nights.

LA is 4 in 6 nights and an older team. Sharks practically had a week off before Thursday’s game. That’s not a viable excuse.

He does what he can with what's there. The top six tonight has three rookies and a second year player on it with Wennberg and Toffoli. The bottom six has a rookie Graf with entirely replaceable forwards including another rookie in Ostapchuk beyond that. The blue line has a rookie on the top pairing with a replacement level defenseman like Ferraro, Carlsson that has seen six games in the NHL the past three years with Liljegren as a replacement level defenseman, and a third pairing of a washed Vlasic with a rookie Cagnoni. All this in front of a rookie goalie that doesn't look ready. Playing 8 rookies is going to likely have a litter of problems that coaching is only going to do so much with. There's barely any credit to give to Warsofsky outside of the team finding a way to do better than last season. It was still very tough sledding to pull that off with how the team was constructed.

Probably nothing. He's a young rookie head coach and most coaches aren't special. You can give Warsofsky the boot and bring in your favorite available coach and they won't likely make a damn bit of difference.

I meant on the ice tonight. Eklund, Ferarro, Vlasic, Graf. I forgot Vlasic. Yeah I have no problem with it but it does lead to this team looking worse than the sum of its parts and there's nothing the coach can realistically do. Stability and reps are irreplaceable.
