I think Horton has his cup ring and he just came here to join the country club and have the summers off, that is how he has played since stepping on the ice. As for Jarmo he is 0 for 2 in acquisitions.

Well hopefully a loss by Detroit and Toronto and it will make this loss hurt a little less. A game they should have won on paper and they didn't show up. I expect them to be fired up and win against Detroit on Tuesday which would be huge.

Do they use the "We're not used to the early start game" excuse?

I've said it in the past and I will say it again. Horton was known to be super streaky during the regular season. He comes up big in the playoffs. But if we can't make the playoffs then I guess Horton is useless to us. The same was said about Pahlsson. Lot of people thought he wasn't great and everyone said he comes up big in the playoffs by shutting down the other teams offensive players. But we didn't make it into the playoffs in his three years here. You would think Columbus will make the playoffs in the next 6 years while Horton is here.

How could they possibly have not gotten a goal out of that late scramble in front?

I'm no good at prognostications, and it's always possible that they will right the ship and make the playoffs, but I'm no longer counting on it. Do it? Good. Don't? More of the same.

This effort, today, has put me in full "Cleveland Fan" mode: I expect only the worst.

I just no longer care if we make the playoffs or not.

I'll have to decide if I watch Tuesdays game or not. I have tickets; I probably won't go. I might watch it on TV because it's a nationally televised game.

If we make the playoff's, that's fine. But I'm not going to invest myself in this team anymore this season. Maybe I'll change my opinion in a few days, but right now I'm done.

After years of watching this team; I can't take a game like this against the Islanders. No one but Atkinson showed up. Tytin was a ****ing joke and he had a few weeks off. I've been defending Horton; but there is no excuse for just being flat invisible night after night.

The PP is pathetic. The PK was lucky tonight on a couple of occasions. Bob stood tall a couple of times or this would have been worse.

To top it off we have fans (at least one) defending the team because of the schedule? Please. That's just pathetic.

I'll be honest; right now I don't care if we beat Detroit or not. If I watch it; it will be mainly because I like hockey.

Pathetic that this team couldn't get up against an injury-ridden Islanders. If Richards says anything about it being an early game... I will make more angry posts on HF.

Also, what's a power play goal? The Islanders had one today.

Look Horton isn't playing well; I was just hard on him in another post. But save that bull **** for another couple of years. I don't want to hear this ****ing stupid ass ****. He didn't come here to avoid playing in the post season.

Your upset fine. But don't start this nonsense.

Getting shutout happens to every team. But to get shutout by Evgeni Nabokov is really embarrassing. He has been the worst starting goalie in the NHL this season.
