for those critisizing william, why are you so stupid? Like you can't possibly be this dumb.... yet here we are.

Nylander was pretty bad yesterday.

I get people are backing him up because he's had a good series... But MAN OH MAN... he is 100% scared of any contact.

He was shying away from physicality and throwing the puck away almost all game aside from a few good rushes. It's moments like those that make him a liability... But he becomes clutch once he feels the spotlights off his back. Just a hot and cold type of player.. he is what he is..

do you understand why it doesn't make any sense to say that the player who elevates his game when the playoffs start is afraid?
to each his own, BTW, you might want to clean your rose coloured glasses? I'd say WN has played better of late, but it's not hard to elevate your game when you continually go MIA for stretches of the season. And on a last note, your name isn't aging very well now is it?

Habs fans think their horrendous season is considered successful because they have “won” three games against the Leafs here?

talk about low expectations.

maybe they should realize that no one is talking about what they are doing right. Everyone is talking about what the Leafs are doing wrong. That’s how irrelevant that team is.

The question that has to be answered is (if they can't close this out), why couldn't they get that 4th win? Injury excuse is not valid. They had a 3-1 lead without JT, without Foligno, they should be able to win 1 game without JT. Just 1 win to close it out in 3 chances. Yea, Hyman is not 100%, neither is Foligno, but I am sure some of the key Habs players are not 100% either. Even despite that, they were up 3-1. Why couldn't they close the deal?

They are talking about Caufield and Price, but you're right 2 of Montreal's 3 wins were gifts by giveaways by the Leafs rather than earned goals.

Makes it that much worse if these Leaf lose to such a “irrelevant team”

this is really the last chance for this group of players
and unfortunately we are no better than the Oilers
and they are the Oilers

The fact that we are even here after being heavy favourites against an irrelevant team, up 3-1 make this team just that much more of a flaw.
And people are still looking for excuses for them.

Ontario CMOH Williams, with his ass on the way out the door, rejects the idea of having FULLY VACCINATED HEALTHCARE WORKERS allowed to attend tomorrow's game.

What a great message. Get fully vaccinated, but no, you have no freedoms back. Hell, not even the people that apparently have been going through hell with this for the last 15 months.

Sadly seeing this team for what it is and not for what we hope it is hasn’t helped. Giving a honest assessment of your opinion of this team gets you labelled as a killjoy, when nothing could be further from the truth imo......

What makes this so hard to swallow is that 100% Montreal isn’t beating us. We are beating ourselves with no shows and fashion walk lazies.

the only guy in our top 6 to show up is Nylander. You can’t have that.

That’s what makes this so frustrating to watch.

... and what makes the Leafs the ultimate chokers?

Because when the other team turns up the pressure physically their star players shy away. They cannot deal with physicality and high pressure situations. That is when the cream rises to the top and none of the Leafs top players are comfortable in that type of game. They hear footsteps, cough up the puck and lose their edge. They don’t have the battle or level of compete to show their opponent that they want it more and will do whatever it takes to win.

yeah he wasn't the one flipping it ovver the boards cause he heard footsteps like a p***y.

I hope that one day you'll come to realize how being self-centered can lead to blindness and warp your view of reality beyond the GTA.

HINT: Most of the hockey world IS talking about what Montreal is doing right and far from everyone is talking about what we are doing wrong.

LOL “most of the hockey world”.

You chaps keep forgetting that Price missed the last month of regular season, any team without its general struggles kinda like the Leafs without JT

I think I found why the Leafs have been doing so poorly. My nail colour was a certain shade used for Montreal's sweaters. I hope this is some positive mojo as it's the only shade of blue I own.

GO LEAFS GO!

If that works I’ll paint my nails tomorrow too. I think I have some blue spray paint downstairs. It could get messy but it’s worth it.
