Another team system goalie'd.

Freaking awesome to see Quick get this, well deserved. Good game all around by the team considering they could have tried to mail it in.

I know not the best game to judge but Muzzin looked freaking awesome, and McNabb is fantastic with Greene, oddly.

There are going to be a lot of numbers in the rafters from this group. 32, 11, 8, maybe 23, perhaps 14. Ones that earned there way up there, not like #4.

Buffalo is not a good hockey team. Hey #80! Shhhhhhh.

Chris Stewart is not programmed to lose. Does not compute.

He's still holding this team back!!

Nah but congrats to Quick! And I will say this, Buffalo is rebuilding the right way, they are going to be a scary team in the future.

I agree, you can see the start of something really special there.

Also, we need Ted Nolan in the building every time there's an important game that Jordan is playing in. WTF did that guy eat today.

Wanted to impress his pops, I'm guessing. Still, there was a point in the third when you could tell he wanted it so bad and it was a 3-on-1 with Richards and he put on his Sidney Crosby visor and just... muffed the pass so ****ing horribly. It wasn't even close. Bless his little heart for trying, though.

23 will be up there easily. Too bad that one of the jerseys up there will not be like the others.

Here's the post-game video, including some footage not available on Fox Sports West or KingsVision, following the LA Kings' 2-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres on October 23.

Video interviews include Jonathan Quick, who earned the 33rd shutout of this NHL career, becoming the Kings' all-time leader in career shutouts after passing the legendary Rogie Vachon, Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown and head coach Darryl Sutter...

Quick's wrist injury concerning??? man that seems like a year a go that was a concern.

Bring on Lumbus!!

Having watched Quick for nearly his whole professional career, I've noticed he plays his best when he stays further back in the net, and doesn't challenge shooters as much (which is the opposite of most goalies).

His play has been somewhat up & down over the past couple seasons. Too often he would over exert himself, try too hard, come too far out of the net ect. I think, in part, because he was feeling the pressure of the new contract, and trying to live up to the accolades that had been bestowed on him.

Right now, he's playing relaxed, and that's a good sign. If he keeps it up, he'll be a Vezina candidate and the Kings will be extremely difficult to beat in a 7 game series.

Quick's SV% right now is pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Amazing that he was 30 seconds away from having 3 shutouts in 4 games played.

9 goals allowed in 7 games played, with McNabb in the lineup full time.

Sutter is doing a good job of putting the kids in situations in which they can succeed.

Comparing Quick to Kobrick? That's a low blow. :shakehead

Funny.. Must be another clipper Kobe hater

Quick would be in very good company being compared to Kobe. (Top 10-15 all time player in the history of pro ball)... No we won't ever see Paul or griffin mentioned anywhere :handclap:

I never understand why Sutter separates Brown and Kopitar...as unlikely as it seems considering how different their skill sets and play types are, those two have incredible chemistry. Brown/Kopi/King were ****ing phenomenal last night.

Whole team played great and Quick is killing it right now...

also...need the Voynov situation resolved...McNabb is...... highly unimpressive.

That's the craziest part. We're yet to have our full defense in a game yet. Although I thought McNabb looked really good next to Greene. He's still prone to some lapses, but not needing to be the stay-at-home guy and having some freedom to roam as opposed to watching Doughty dance around the ice was a gift for McNabb. He lays some pretty big hits, which is nice to see.

Side note, I've done a 180 on Regehr. Man, he's mean to play against. Sabres players were shying away from him by the third period. Regeher - Martinez is a pretty good pairing, I hope we don't break that up if and/or when Slava gets back.

When Quick is more goalie than athlete, it's tough to get a puck by him. When he's more athlete than goalie, he's all over the place.
