Honestly was a good effort from the Sharks, Carolina is a tough team and super good defensively, man Slavin is good. Probably super frustrating for Celebrini especially, definitely one of his quietest nights minus that slick no looker to Graf.

They need to take a page from Demers book and just stay drunk all the time. Demers has tons of energy and is always wasted when he’s on the radio. Sharks need to learn about a hair of the dog that bit ya and some nose beers to numb the pain.

I think cagnoni did ok for his first game. Tall ask, but he didn't look like he needed to be benched.

Desharnais is pretty Semenovlike though.

Good compete but this is the kind of game where the inexperience hurt War. It was a game you almost dumb down for the players and just focus on fundamentals and minimizing mistakes instead of constantly going run and gun. It's fine. They'll all learn.

I like the hustle from both Kovalanko and Dellandrea tonight. It's clear they both know it's audition season for the fringe guys.

I feel like Kovalenko needs to have more of a chance to play with non-grinders before we rule him off as "not an NHL player."

I really think a Kovalenko-Wennberg-Graf 3rd line would be great next season. But that only happens if they find some guys for Celebrini, Toffoli, Smith, and Eklund in the top six.

Ferraro did Muk no favors as a partner tonight but he's certainly overmatched against a team like Carolina.
