The only thing I can think of that might have caused Gallant to insert McKegg is maybe lack of o-zone time. Maybe looking for a little more board work and keeping pucks in from the fourth line.

Very true except most times any potential play will die on McKegg's stick - but he hustles, I always gave him that. He's not the worst option to throw in during a playoff grind.
