I can see a letdown being we play the majority of games against teams outside the playoffs. After all these are the NY Rangers we're talking about. I think we were fortunate we beat Buffalo the other night.

It's too bad we don't play our remaining games against all playoff teams. LOL

Losing to the Wings is it really a letdown ? I think they have beat us a few time in the last few years....for a stretch Howard owned us . I want to win this one.....get some room on the Penguins . I would actually even take Reaves out and go with Gauthier on the 4th line . Adds some speed and fresh legs to the lineup even if he can't score...he would be good for a couple of breakaways for sure . Oh well...Turk knows best .

And it was said all year, they just need to get to the deadline as they kept on winning. And wouldn’t you know it, Drury addressed a lot of the holes.

I think this will be the formula most years. The key is identifying and keeping the best core guys.

Drury looks much closer to Sakic/Yzerman as a GM than he does Chiarelli/Holland like he was made out to be.

Gotta give credit to Gorts for laying the groundwork though. It’s an easier job when you’ve got the foundation pieces. But indeed, seems like Drury found some terrific pieces. Pro scouting probably deserves some kudos too.
