I have to say it is fascinating this team has 43 wins after 67 games played. It was drilled into our minds all year that this was a bad hockey team and it was completely unsustainable. How could this be possible? They should make a documentary on this miracle team.

:sarcasm:
As you can see from various posts, there's a lot of caution with the Rangers, because of how many letdowns they've had in their long history. Many are just waiting for the other shoe to drop per se.

That said, the Rangers were very reliant on Shesterkin in the first month, and then they got their power play going, which meant now you were relying on two different things, while the rest of the team was figuring it out.

There was a period in February/March too where they were being severely outplayed in the first (which then shifted to the second period), but managed to find ways to win.

Prior to the deadline, you could also point to how heavily reliant on Zibanejad, Kreider, Panarin, Fox and Strome to generate almost all their offense.

I posted the following last night on Twitter:
If you figure that the additions of Vatrano, Motte and Copp pushed Gauthier, McKegg and Reaves out of the line-up...you'd have to like the early returns on offense:

15GP 6G 5A 11Pts
Guys they pushed out
141GP 7G 15A 22Pts

The emergence of offense from Lafreniere hasn't hurt, and neither has Schneider's addition, which has somewhat stabilized the third pair defense after pretty much having to rely on the top four. You can also point to the improvement of K'Andre Miller through the year (although Fox-Lindgren have also regressed)

We're still in the regular season, and it remains to be seen how they do in a 7 game series in the playoffs, but I think there are signs here that with certain players stepping up, along with the integration of the three new forwards, that the Rangers have managed to fix a few things that were brokne

Small sample size stats can be very misleading. Rangers probably not on par with East top tier: Panthers, Hurricanes &r Tampa. That said there is finally one observation that Valliquette made that I can endorse: will be very difficult for a team to beat Igor four times in a seven game series.

Has already been said , but this has the classic makings of a trap game ...Hope Turk gets this point across and the team comes out ready, the race for PO positioning is tight .Detroit is 2-6-2 in their last 10 and have lost 3 str8 , 2nd night of a back2back but still ..................

Literally nothing is better than Big Thunder and Space Mountain. Don’t @ me.
Lol when I was 6 years old my mom took me on Thunder Mountain saying it’s a little choo choo train and I was terrified 😂 I haven’t been on Space Mountain yet but I’ll go on it next time (I’m a little scared of rollercoasters). Radiator Springs Racers is another excellent ride

Sorry, this is just bullshit. We beat the Lightning three times this year, once back to back. We beat the panthers twice lost once and we beat Carolina once and lost once. I don’t know where this ridiculous narrative comes from at this point in the season.

The Matrix and Pirates are two trilogies where the first movie was legendary and the following two were garbage.

Still trying to figure out why each franchise was extended further after said poor performances.
