We play like that most nights, we win.

Hope the effort stays the same and Bob doesn't repeat tonight on Thursday.

I don't know what's more surprising. The fact that we hit 47 shots despite being shorthanded for 10 minutes, the fact that we didn't allow a shot in the last 20-some minutes, or the fact that we still got trounced on the scoreboard.

Jackets have only scored 1 goal/game in 3 of the last 5. The offense is not good.

Glad we never gave up a 4th rounder and a grinder for Vanek or Moulson

Two things prevented us from winning. Khudobin and bad bounces.

Bob let a couple of stinkers in and there were a few miscues. We win that game any other night.

4 of 6, I think. Definitely lost a lot of scoring punch over the last two weeks.

No the Canes were terrible! That was an AHL team out there. And with respect to the 3rd period, teams go into shutdown mode to prevent chances against. And the Canes couldn't do it. Khudobin was under siege.

Remember how we've had a couple of games that we won that we absolutely had no business whatsoever winning?

Just one of those nights. They'll win with that effort way more often than not.

I feel the worst for Curtis McElhinney, though.

He finally gets a start - guy has a heart attack seven minutes in. Has to wait 8 days to play again - faces 0 shots.

I hope the Rangers on Friday are not as bad as the Canes were tonight... I don't agree that the Cane team I saw tonight was an AHL team... I'm sure Skinner would argue that too...

Sat two rows from the ice. Saw the first goal on Bob right in front of me and ti was a picture perfect shot. Ithink we played OK, not great. We obviously peppered Khudobin, we deserved to win IMO. Carolina didn't do anything special.

Got beat by the goalie. It happens.

So the N YR win, PHI is headed for at minimum 1 point, Montreal wins, and Detroit wins.

Lol. But hey at least NJ lost!

Before tonight the CBJ had an 85% of making the playoffs... Right now, the NYR's are the team we need to beat for a Metro seed... A wild card spot is still there but Boston or Pitt in the first round would be a challenge..

Detroit winning meant Toronto lost which is now important because they fall back to the Wild Card spot.

Hopefully Washington loses tonight.

At this point, I would take anything. Get into the playoffs and it's a new season for the guys. Anything can happen. Imagine a first round date with the Bruins(Horton story).

That is who I want if we WC..... Boston in Columbus for the post season would be like X-mas.... :) As long as we get one win during that series it would be good... ;)

Just back from the game with some paperwork to do before work tomorrow, so I haven't read the thread. I wanted to drop in and say the effort was there, what a fluky game. NOTHING went CBJ way around the net. Other than penalties, we played well. That happens, I guess. Take aways for me include Jenner being a really pain in the rear for opposing teams. He manages to draw penalties by frustrating the opposition. I hope he's here for a long long time. I think Comeau's hit near the glass of section 108-109 was pretty brutal and he may get a call. Left his feet a-la-Superman. Letestu is a smart smart player. He gets the boys in his line involved QB-style.

Good mostly full arena tonight. Looked like they promoted some group events or gave away tickets or BIG discounts in 116 and 102. Shame they didn't put up a W for a (near) full house.

Lastly, I'll take our 4th line over any other. They bring it every game.

Go Jackets, I believe!
