Let me start the debate. Cam has to get back in, maybe with a different line to try and get him going again. I don't see Matt Calvert bringing a lot to the table right now. He skates his but off, but, he lacks size, doesn't have a great shot, not a great passer, average on defense. He has one goal on an empty net since the break.

Comeau and Tropp both give you a more physical presence. I think they need that badly.
My vote for healthy scratch Monday night is Matt Calvert.

Your thoughts

I'm fine with swapping Calvert and Atkinson for next game.

The lines I really want to see?

Jenner-Johansen-Horton
Foligno-Anisimov-Skille
Comeau-Dubinsky-Atkinson
Calvert-Letestu-Mackenzie

I'm not huge on tonight's lines, I thought we had better chemistry a couple games back.

Edit: Whoops, forgot Umberger.

Maybe. I do think Atkinson needs to be in the lineup. So maybe it comes down to Calvert and Comeau. Tropp seems to work well on the fourth line with Letestu and Mac

I really like Tropp there too. Comeau has played some good hockey there too but, I have to agree, Comeau would sit if it was up to me.

So where are you putting RJ?

Prout and Schultz played better than I thought they would.

This was their kind of game, though. Big, physical, fairly slow. Get a team that is faster and better at skating the puck and we'll see what happens.

Agree with all but the bolded portion, I prefer my team to get a big lead and cruise home! Unfortunately, the jackets never seem to do that, it always seems hard.

Ha. Yeah well I love those, too, except as you noted, games like that with these guys usually end 1-goal games rather than 1-0 games

I think part of the strategy of tonight's line changes may have been to use our forwards to slow them down.

True. I looked at TOI and Schultz had almost 10:00. Golo had 8:39, so those two were sheltered a bit.

Great coaching by Richards to have Comeau and Tropp in there tonight for additional physical presence. This was a hard hitting game to say the least.

Absolutely blown away by the win, they certainly faced some adversity tonight and they overcame it. Rinne had one of the best performances I've seen all season, and Bob matched it. Special type of game when you can watch both goalies duke it out like we saw tonight. Wish I could have been there, we just weren't able to make the trip this time.

If I turn the game on Monday night and the forward they got from LA (name?) is in the lineup I am gonna scream bloody murder......He may want to look into a league other than the NHL.

Yep..... Maybe a good strategy for tonight but I'm hard-pressed to see wiz logging almost 25 minutes a game and still having sounds defense. Johnson logged his usual 25+ But I think they're going to have to reallocate some of these minutes to get the other two up to 13 or 14.

How about putting him in for the guy currently in Springfield?

It's also kind of hard for me to get my arms around a guy being called up from Springfield for insertion onto the second line. I do hope Skille is around as he is intriguing and I would like to see him get a shot next year.

Skille won't come back next year. He was an excellent hard-nosed sniper for us in limited minutes, but we've never given him a shot despite his goals, so he'll just sign somewhere where they'll play him.

It's sort of like the Nick Holden situation. Columbus didn't give him a chance and he signs in Colorado, and now has 6G, 9A in 36 games.

Jackets really seemed to dominate the 2nd and 3rd. Can't wait to watch this one since I could only listen driving home from Indy. (NSH radio guys suck)

One fun thing about reading GDT's after the game is trying to guess when the overly negative jackwagons will drop out during a win. We lost one around the 2nd period tonight it appears....

I only watched the third period, it was a must two point pickup for the Jackets... Nashville is not that good but with an AHL CBJ defense all was equal.

I was happy to see Tropp and Comeau play... Bottomline, with Tyutin, Murray and Nikitin out making the playoffs is going to be difficult...

It's formulaic though. Almost every 1-0 game lists the two goalies and then the goal scorer.

I agree wit you...The only reason for my post was to let ApacheKeith know that yahoo had it in the same order as him compared to the reverse listing selected by Rimmer and Davidge.

Just left the arena. Halfboard's first ever road game. Atmosphere at Bridgestone is awesome, I must say. Their fans were all nice, friendly & funny. Bob really saved our arse tonight! Kudos to Arty.

I definitely will go back to Smashville.

Bridgestone has a great atmosphere. My second time seeing us win there. So great to see a bob shutout live on the road. The "let's go jackets" chants overpowered the home crowd on more than one occasion.
