What a win! I was at the game and if you saw a guy in a David Vyborny third jersey 1.0 that was me.
I have nothing negative to say about Nashville and their fans. They are the real deal when it comes to hockey and they were all super nice. I got a lot of handshakes and congratulations on my way out. I told them I was glad they weren't in our division anymore. Their arena is a gem too. I'm really glad I don't know what it's like in their barn when the home team scores.
I remembered my experience with jerk Penguins, Sabres, and Red Wings fans so I was the nicest visiting fan possible. I ddin't gloat too long when Arty scored and I wasn't obnoxious when it ended.
It was a really fun experience and I hope to go back next season. If you get the chance to see a game in Nashville I highly recommend it.
edit: I talked to Portzline in line for food at 3 am. I was surprised he was still up and at em. He was friendly enough for talking to an intoxicated me at that hour.
I've met a lot of Nashville fans over the years and had pretty much that same experience. I don't think either market has the over top diehard fans, like the older established teams do, for that reason its a much more reasonable relationship. We've been at the receiving end of alot of Nashville beat downs over the years, so if there is any bitterness, its probably coming from this end anyways.
