Overall, we did well to grab the 2 points. But it could've been trouble - Richards made a very bad decision to send in just one forechecker and try to clog up the zone through the rest of the way. The Leafs are a fast and speedy team, they can beat a trap. What they can't do well is defend against the cycle. We had possession and scored goals when the game was determined by who worked the hardest, then started reeling when it became about who had the skill.

Good road game, nice to hold on for the win.

A lot of our guys seem to be in a cold snap right now, it needs to go away tomorrow.

Say what you want about Jack Johnson, but when this team faces adversity, he is always one of the first to step up. He did again tonight

Nice win against a pretty good team. Leafs have some dangerous scorers and we kept them in check.

They looked like the American women's team. Totally in control until Toronto scored then it was game on.

Gaborik doesn't want to get traded so he plays like **** until after the deadline, then he starts lighting it up. Or perhaps he fakes an injury to scare teams off.:sarcasm:

More likely if he realizes his destination is LA. The Staples center where offense goes to die.

I thought Johnson was his usual self tonight. Then again, I don't think Johnson is the head-of-sand turnover machine that most on hfboards make him out to be.

I was most impressed by David Savard, Nikita Nikitin, and Dalton Prout. Savard had some, uh, savvy plays with the puck. I also liked Murray's pass to set up Foligno early in the game for his open look at Reimer.

Gaborik was also strong tonight in that he hustled, didn't turn the puck over, and seemed to play with a team first mentality of taking hits and not giving up on plays. Yeah he wasn't a one man show but if he keeps putting forth effort things will come for him.

Johansen was pretty lukewarm. He is great, and is great with the puck, and you can see that every time he's on the ice, but his line wasn't burying chances. Especially that Horton breakaway.

Mackenzie is continuing to show that he's a player we should be glad we have. Same goes for Anisimov who was beastly again tonight.

Johnson was on the ice for about 31 minutes tonight in a game where the team gives up one goal....pretty strong in my book.

You're entitled to you opinion I guess, even though its wrong.

I expect you to consider any opinion that is critical of Jack Johnson to be wrong, but there are many out there. I wonder about your staunch defense of the guy.

This was a good road win. Really liking Anisimov's play lately, and Nikitin has worked his way back into my heart. Too bad he hit the crossbar on his chance.

He eats minutes, I'll give him that. But Bob played well tonight and the team really limited Toronto's chances. Aside from having the endurance to be on the ice so much, it's hard to figure what Johnson brings to the team. I thought he was supposed to have offense to counter his defensive inadequacies, but he isn't nearly as dangerous as Wiz. A guy like Tyuts is the kind of guy who I really think you don't necessarily know what you've got til it's gone, but Johnson to me isn't like that.

I'm not out to get him, he's not particularly detrimental to the team, but he doesn't have an NTC and if he can packaged for an upgrade I have no sentimentality about pulling the trigger on a trade to vamose the guy
