Got home and turned on the game just in time to see Bolduc's breakaway! Bang! What a shot!
100%. That's why all of Dom's criticism is bullshit. Anyone whose watched the games knows that Parayko has essentially been babysitting his defensive partners since Bouwmeester had to retire. Now I'm thinking he has more freedom to do these things because of the reliability of his partner Fowler.
Someone please frame this.100%. That's why all of Dom's criticism is bullshit. Anyone whose watched the games knows that Parayko has essentially been babysitting his defensive partners since Bouwmeester had to retire.
Definitely feel like we're standing pat or moving Suter/Faksa only. At least right now. I can't see them pulling the trigger on any Major buy. We're definitely not selling any key pieces.
Maybe some sort of "hockey" trade, but Army probably let's this group continue to fight. He certainly won't trade the captain.Definitely feel like we're standing pat or moving Suter/Faksa only. At least right now. I can't see them pulling the trigger on any Major buy.
I don’t think we deal faksa. Might extend him even.Definitely feel like we're standing pat or moving Suter/Faksa only. At least right now. I can't see them pulling the trigger on any Major buy.
Yea, I’m just being cautiously optimistic about it. Like, I’d imagine he sees an uptick in usual career scoring if he maintains this playstyle. But I think even if he doesn’t pot as many goals, he’ll be forcing teams to be more aware of him dropping in the zone, which may open up other areas of the ice, or if the shots don’t go in, it’ll generate more rebounds that end up in the net by someone else. And neither of those require him to develop any sort of passingWeegar is the somewhat worry, where last season he had 20 goals and this season he's back to pacing under 10.
I want to find a site that tracks the average shot distance because my expectation is that Parayko is shooting a lot closer to the net, and that's why I think it could be a change in his game and it can be a new norm. Last season he had 11 shots in high-danger areas, and this season he already has 12. Last season he had 2 goals in that area, this season he has 5. Two seasons ago, he had 8 shots in high danger area.
If he can stay active in the offensive zone with his size and skating ability, he should continue to score more goals that he has in the past. That's what it would look like with him taking his game to the next level. He's not going to do it by creating and devloping as a passer, taking what he does well and using it offensively. If he continues to increase the amount of shots in and around the net, he'll continue to score more.

Both have served us surprisingly well.Definitely feel like we're standing pat or moving Suter/Faksa only. At least right now. I can't see them pulling the trigger on any Major buy.
If Army comes out of the shadows, I can see him moving minor pieces and a cap dump and get something really good. Love to see Krug go the other way into the sun and never return.I don't see anything unless like you said hockey trade.
Personally with Blues having cap space, I would love to see the be a 3rd team in a trade or two and retain some salary for a team to get few picks to play with.
Would you trade rosters with LA right now?
I think a "Hockey trade will be a lot more likely during the offseason. I think Army will stand pat at the deadline. I don't think he'll even trade Suter off. He wouldn't bring back much, and he represents the only veteran depth we have. If an injury hits who do we bring up? Play Tucker more?Maybe some sort of "hockey" trade, but Army probably let's this group continue to fight. He certainly won't trade the captain.
Don't you f***ing say that to me.Looked like Owen Nolan there...... God I hate to bringing that up.
