We need Egod tonight. He was always a much more effective center than winger.

Glad to see Rakell at practice.

Call me crazy but I'd like ERod on the left side on pp1

For those that watched STL vs MINNY...Did nick delaurier make a difference? Both as a hockey player and tough guy. Instead of just yelling at the clouds about toughness let's put some legit names to address what some thinks as a problem.

I didn't watch much of that series.

I gave this a like because I want to believe you're right. Even though my brain says this is all over but the crying.
Meh. Chin up. What can the Rangers really do to us? We've had better teams blow it. Pens vs Flyers, Pens vs Bruins, etc.

Also we have three cups recently. If the Rangers win, oh well, it's what we all thought would happen coming into the series anyways.

It's been all gravy to me for a while. It just sucks to have what was looking like one last terrific run derailed by all THIS.

I said Pens in seven anyway so I guess I can't really gripe too much.

Who are these guys that never dish it out?

What do you want to happen?

Literally every player on our team not named Sid and Evgeni. It's tough to play playoff hockey when you continually ice 16 Lady Byng candidates

I want us to blow these clowns out by about 7 goals, then for someone to crosscheck Trouba in the face, knocking his teeth out and making him even uglier than he already is

The refs are corrupt but they aren't stupid. They know what happened last game. If Sullivan is smart he reminds them throughout the game. The Penguins powerplay doesn't inspire confidence right now but I mean... they are gonna need all the help they can get tonight I think.
Ugh…
I actually have more confidence in our 2nd unit than our 1st.

What really stinks is that it's obviously Sid, but that it's a Center that's out.

Now Sully will feel compelled to play Boyle (bc he can center). I was at least hoping that he'd consider DOC's leg seeing how Boyle was responsible for at least 1 GA last game.

At least Sullivan has the lines somewhat right with Sid out. Bizarre that Rakell isn’t in yet.
I agree with ERod as 2C. We know Carter can't handle the minutes. And ERod did so well early on you have to risk it.

I hate to say ERod holds our fate but him making an impact as our 2C is monumental. If he blows chunks we are majorly in trouble.

His 2 goal game gives me a glimmer of hope.

not really…he’s not medically cleared…this is the problem with concussion timelines…they want to be sure…anyone who thinks if Sid has a concussion that he’ll be back for Round 2 is crazy…maybe the end of Round Two but the Canes might sweep us in four lol…

Sullivan has been largely terrific this series but I still can't believe how he totally lost his mind briefly last game and tried to make Carter the top center to disastrous results. Makes me wonder a little what he thinks of Malkin, despite what everyone says.

I haven't worn it yet, but an awesome Pens fan in NY sent me a signed #71 white 3rd jersey from last year. Not that it had a lot of success, but I may have to break it out tonight to cheer on Geno.

I think everyone would like us to blow them out and see something done to Trouba. We need to take care of business 1st and lock it down.

I understand his reasoning- he didn't want to jumble the lines by moving Malkin up.

I don't agree w/ it, but I understand it

Minny is a tough team to play against but STL stuck to what the do well. They are a real solid team all up and down that lineup.

Backend looks strong as well

I guess. Both Schultz and Sid were concussed in 2017 and were back in a few days. To me it seems like the staff thinks we can beat the Rangers without Jarry and Rakell and are being extra conservative.

Hopefully they are proven right.

But he jumbled them up anyway by moving Carter up so it's not like he avoided that.

I mean I guess maybe he saw L2 as some kind of indominable force he couldn't futz with but that would be a truly odd take haha

I wonder if he didn’t know the severity of the injury.

No, it's a reflection of the fact that every concussion is different, even for the same player.
