you could make the argument that if he picked up a good D like Johnny Oduya at the deadline instead of doing nothing but acquiring Scott things could have been different. And it's not like he wasn't trying to make a move, he was going hard after Nash but the Blue Jackets were asking for a ton.

We would have just let Oduya sit on the bench to continue playing Staal and Girardi the entire game
