He slowed down because he was waiting for Hunt to create a lane he could pass to but Hunt just filled the same lane Strome was already in.

Forget about points for a second, do you think he's having the same impact on the game in all 3 zones? Is he as adept at carrying the puck up ice, is he stealing pucks, is he shaking off checks, is he creating as many chances? I can tell you his on-ice impacts have dropped off dramatically. So has his production for that matter at 5v5.

Combination of poor play by his linemates, less time and space given by other teams and over compensating (too much passing vs shooting).
