Once culture of losing gets ingrained ….Took historic levels of injuries for Habs to end up low enough in the standings to pick 1st and 5th in consecutive years.
They wouldn't have been a playoff team. But they wouldn't be that bad.
Also, in those COVID seasons, Anaheim was still at the bottom of the standings. They're still there. You'd hope they'd show progress by now.
He did beat up "Like a good Neighbour", it's Jake from state farm.Yeah it's been pretty septic for Kovacevic.
They shouldn’t be split up at all but it’s kinda great to know we can have some good alternative and we don’t even have a full top 6 yet.You guys are weird for wanting to split up something that is working. It was Caufield-Suzuki at first since Dach-Caufield would work better for whatever reason, and now that Slaf-Suzuki is killing it we should split them up and play him with Dach because he looked good with him in preseason.
Xhekaj handled a pretty big dude
Probably the biggest guy he fought so far
Yes but not as much as if he's with Slaf or Dach. I get it then together is every Habs fans were dream and they were great together early on but unless they get Lindstrom, defences will bully Caufield if he has so one to create that space for him. He's not a play driver but a very good complimentary pieceIt doesn’t matter where Caufield plays. He’s going to generate chances.
Some folks sadly struggle with PTSD, LA struggles with PLDLA sucks bad
Don't know why Suzuki is always getting shafted here when compared to others. Dach has better potential because he's bigger and looked better in preseason, Caufield is better offensively, Slaf is carrying him right now...etc Can we just f***ing enjoy the good players we got right now without comparing them as if they are on other teams? Its the total lack of respect for Nick to me. At first it was to unlock Coles potential, bla bla.
Man Nicks a legit first line C we gotta stop hating
Yup - I’m even more impressed with how his anticipation keeps growing game by gameSlaf's vision is impressive
all 3 can shoot AND pass at a high level ... whatSlaf's vision is impressive
Depending on who we get in the draft they may play next year. Winger wise we’ve got Slaf, Newhook, Roy and Caufield. You want to split those up for two good lines. Maybe it’s Newhook’s and Slaf with Dach and Caufield and Roy with Suzuki. Something like that.Id like to have at least one top level talent with Dach. This is 2 years now where only one line has been phenomenal. But yeah if demidov, Lindstrom, or celebrini are Habs, that's all Dach really needs
He just needs to learn that loop move near the blue line.Slaf doing work in Kovalev's office , I think I'm going to cry
Imo Dach if healthy next year is a 65ish pt player. As for Roy, he's still young. Needs time before asserting himself. Dach needs talent and no offence to the two you mentioned, but they ain't it. Ly kily Habs are probably getting such a talent this year or at the very least trading for oneDach is the top level talent on his line. Hes more than good enough to "carry" Roy and Newhook. Dach and Roy are literally made for each other, they will both get 50+
The injury excuse works for Anaheim too. The point is, both teams have been terrible since 2018 and both teams are on the upswing, lets not throw stones from glass houses.Took historic levels of injuries for Habs to end up low enough in the standings to pick 1st and 5th in consecutive years.

When a team is about to pick where they will select for a sixth year in a row, I wouldn't be envious of them.
If in 2026-27, Habs are still at the bottom of the standings after picking Top-10/Top-5 in consecutive drafts, I'd seriously question their plan.
