You guys are weird for wanting to split up something that is working. It was Caufield-Suzuki at first since Dach-Caufield would work better for whatever reason, and now that Slaf-Suzuki is killing it we should split them up and play him with Dach because he looked good with him in preseason.

Splitting them up isn’t a bad idea at all. But I like Slaf with Dach. Would be impossible to stop.

So many possibilities opened up with Dach and Newhook in the line-up, kind of miss another one in that range of skills and the top 6 could be really fun to play with. Maybe our top pick this year will be that missing piece.

You shut ur mouf

In reality, Newhook and Roy and maybe Demidov or Celebrini isnt bad at all for Dach.
Id like to have at least one top level talent with Dach. This is 2 years now where only one line has been phenomenal. But yeah if demidov, Lindstrom, or celebrini are Habs, that's all Dach really needs

Its the total lack of respect for Nick to me. At first it was to unlock Coles potential, bla bla.

Man Nicks a legit first line C we gotta stop hating

Literally the Habs /that covid year, even if they were 8th last when the season got cancelled.

:O

Took historic levels of injuries for Habs to end up low enough in the standings to pick 1st and 5th in consecutive years. They wouldn't have been a playoff team. But they wouldn't be that bad.

Also, in those COVID seasons, Anaheim was still at the bottom of the standings. They're still there. You'd hope they'd show progress by now. And that's not to say they didn't pick good players there.

When a team is about to pick where they will select for a sixth year in a row, I wouldn't be envious of them.

If in 2026-27, Habs are still at the bottom of the standings after picking Top-10/Top-5 in consecutive drafts, I'd seriously question their plan.

With our 1st line rolling, really need 1 more stud forward pick, assuming Dach is healthy and then sign a big UFA - boom contenders.

Yeah, my take too. Just play Newhook with Dach and find someone else. That's a solid second line anyway.

Dach is the top level talent on his line. Hes more than good enough to "carry" Roy and Newhook. Dach and Roy are literally made for each other, they will both get 50+
