This loss bothers me much, much more the the Buffalo loss. We got our arses handed to us tonite. where the heck has Joey been the last couple of games? He looked terrible tonite. He simply a non-factor against Buffalo. Are people getting tired? Other than DMac, the energizer bunny, there was a lot of dragging around the ice tonite. And I agree with Blah, "Bob" was once more a part of the problem.

Agree.... tonight Bob was good in the second period but one period in two games does not cut it for a potential playoff starting goalie... many will be mad at me, you and Blah but the facts are.... Bobrovsky has sucked recently and must play better..

Holy moly, we lose 2 games and everybody flips!

Don't lump me in with any of your bipolar rants. We could have been first in the division with a 20 point lead and this would still have pissed me off.

I'm not predicting doom. I'm saying Bob better get his crap together or doom will follow.

I'm also annoyed because we just gave small lead we were building. We're probably back to around 50/50 for a playoff spot (60% as of now). We've also left ourselves vulnerable in a back-to-back game with a team waiting on us, while probably sporting our backup goaltender.

I've been re-watching the goals against and there's nothing really atrocious.

The first goal was an unusual breakdown, Semin turned across the slot and the puck ended up flukily going back the other way to Eric Staal after Johansen got a stick on it. Staal had plenty of time in front and I can't fault Bob there.

The second goal Tlusty beats Tyutin (or was it Tyusty and Tlutin?) to his own boards after Mackenzie's faceoff win and comes away clean. Tyutin was knocked off balance and didn't even slow down Tlusty, so he was able to connect with Staal before Letestu could cover. The puck deflects in off of Letestu, can't fault Bob there.

The third goal.... that was amazing by Jordan Staal, seriously. In what world is Murray expected to do more than that. Bob should have had it but that's it at most, one bad goal.

Huh? Joey was great tonight. Did you see his pass to RJ?

I'm thinking Bob's head has already traveled to Sochi. Understandable since it's the Olympics in his home country, but this isn't acceptable right now.

I was at the game tonight.....I haven't read any else's post. Here was my take on the game.

1.) Jenner and Umberger played like everyone should every shift. Anyone who continues with trade RJ talk does not see what I see when I watch him play. Personally, I think he leads by example as much as anyone right now. I don't care how much anyone else wants to argue with me on that, it's just my take.

2) I texted my brother after the second period and said we better get the next goal, unfortunately I was right.

3) Bob played well enough to win. He just missed the second E. Stahl goal, had it almost in his glove only to go over top of in and in the net.

4) Johansen is going to be a star, great pass on RJ's goal tonight, but is still learning as is to be expected. I have never played hockey, but I would have to think a golden rule is to know where the puck is at all the time. He could have helped Bob out on the first goal but last track of the puck, He got turned around and was looking the opposite direction from the play.

5) Horton was an all league best +21 in the playoffs alone last year, but his play confuses me. The penalty he took I could have called from the top row, and it could have easily been a double minor for slashing and interference. (In the offensive zone to boot) On offense he had 3 or 4 chances to put the puck on net, maybe score, maybe get a deflection, maybe get a rebound; yet every time he danced around until the defense stole the puck.

6) Cam has no confidence right now. He got wide open with just the goalie to beat with about 3 minutes left from point blank range to tie the game, had a lot of empty net to hit, and put it right in the center chest of Khudobin. He needs a goal soon and hopefully then he can get his mojo back, because he lost it right now. We need Cam and Dubinsky to get going if we expect to make any noise in the playoffs, yes assuming we make the playoffs.

7) I was a Savard critic, now that he's out, I have the "you never knew what you had until it's gone feeling" I now believe I was dead wrong on him, which is a good thing, I just hope he gets back soon.

As deflating as tonight was, I will damn sure be back at the PNC Arena March 29th for the BlueJackets last visit to Raleigh this year.

Hopefully tomorrow night the results are different.

I don't think people have lost "hope". They are expressing concerns as they have a right to do and should be when their team hist a speed bump very hard. The hyperbole is inaccurate.

I can't say I was expecting this one. I kind of figured the streak would end with Buffalo, but didn't figure we'd lose this one. There's still 30+ games to play, and we're still very much in it.

These are exactly the growing pains that one would expect with an extremely young team still trying to find their way, with a lot of guys who aren't close to hitting their prime yet.

Good god what a whining group of *****es. Can't be happy without winning them all huh. I have perused this site for years and used to appreciate the insights, but I can take no more of the childlike reactionary commentary. I know most will look at my post count and not care that I leave, but I can't believe the complete break down over 2 ****ing losses. The club is playing their best season to date and people can't be happy. I suggest you put your keyboards away for a bit and just enjoy the games. If I didn't know better I would think this was a sight for OSU fans.

I know information about poster history is banned but may I ask you, have you ever been a fan of an NHL team that has won a playoff game? As for me, I want my NHL team to win 82 games a season and then the cup.... you say?

That's not what he's saying. He's saying we're a board of overreactioners. We won 8 straight and we were talking cup and now we're talking about missing the playoffs after 2 losses in which we probably should have won. He's right. We are quick to make judgements with this team because we're still thinking 'same old Jackets' from the teams 2+ years ago. It's different this time.

Fair enough Brass, now give the name of any fan base in the NHL that is not concerned about two crappy defeats in a row that just ran 8 wins a row....???

What you read here is nornal.... a bunch of folks that are pissed...

If you are not pissed right now something is wrong.... , you come off as being a homer that few believe sometimes Brass... not good. ;)

Says the guy who wanted to become "sellers" earlier in the thread.

Dude, you're one of the worst "overreactioners" on this board. Look in the mirror.

Amen, I used to always read this forum but it is getting to negative for me these days. You would have thought i was reading the Penguins forum. They lose a couple games and they are ready to fire the coach and trade Malkin.

Jeesh

Where in that did I ever say "We as a board are overreactioners, but not me." I admit it, I did overreact earlier. But so did almost everyone. Times passed I've cooled down. so has probably everyone else

Please. There's far more people who overreact way more than I do.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be worried. We should be. Blowing leads like that isn't something any team should do if they want to have a chance at the playoffs, let alone the cup. Being pissed as a fan is fine, Im still pissed we lost in Philly lol.

As I said before a few months ago. I try to never say things I don't firmly believe it. Whether it makes me a homer, hater, optimist, or pessimist. I try to be consistent. Whether people believe what I say or put any merit isn't my business.
