Don't say anything at all
So it took an 8 game win streak to put us in the top 8 of the East. But it only took 2 losses to knock us out.

Hopefully we can reverse this trend in our next few home games. We don't go on the road again until our California road trip before Olympic break.

We are still playing in a mostly-weak division. The 2 and 3 seeds are still very much up for grabs. We won't catch Pittsburgh for sure, but we can still get into the top 3.

If it is true that it all evens out (I am not saying it is true, just for the sake of discussion), how many games have we given away this season? Two? Philly and tonight? And how many games have we stolen? I can't think of any but I am willing to listen
Maybe not gaved away games but points...
Bob's brutal goal with over a minute against the Habs-From at least 1 to maybe 2 points to 0.
Didn't they piss away a late lead against the Caps and the Blues? Blues won in OT. Not sure if we made it into OT against the Caps. Blew a 2-0 lead against the Blues and lost big time(6-2). Did we blow a lead against the Ducks(the one where Dubinsky got a major for interference)?

Read back and you'll see where I stated the ****ing team didn't finish it off.

If Bob doesn't leave that 5 hole open for the first goal (closes the pads), that is likely a 3-0 shutout. That was the momentum goal. That is the goal that a mother ****ing Vezina winner has to ****ing stop. I am ****ing pissed because we are paying for a ****ing Vezina winner and we aren't getting that.

We should up with NY on points right now.

I am also upset that we didn't finish them off, but dammit your ****ing Vezina winner can't let that get away.

**** Bob. The goal tender on the other end of the ice showed us how to finish the game off. Not our ****ing Vezina winner.

Am I getting it across?

The funny part is Bob was better than Khudobin. Your blaming Bob just because he won the Vezina a season ago.

As someone said, they were trying to play a "veteran" road game and slow the game down with a lead. But the game got a little too tilted and they had no answer when things started to go wrong. All I can say is it better be a ****ing lesson.

That was me.... I feel like an ******* now.... We should have won this game DSL...

I just thought they were trying to coast to a win most of the night. The game was kind of cruising along with 10 minutes left and everything seemed half asleep. They weren't controlling the puck, they weren't setting up in Carolina's zone creating pressure. Staahl got that goal and they still were just getting owned. It wasn't until they got behind that they turned on the jets, and then it was too late. Bobrovsky gave up a weak goal or two, but man... this team isn't good enough to coast.

At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing what McBackup brings to the table tomorrow. Bob needs to take a time out and give his head a shake.

Am I getting it across? I am not going to give that ****er a pass when he greatly contributed to our collapse.

get a beer or something, relax..

since Bob came back from the injury, he's been mostly amazing. Last two games were the only ones questionable, but he gets no rest, and plays all games, cut him some slack. HE's one of the reasons we are still in the play off picture

Not the worst game this season but the most disappointing loss after being up 2-0 in the third…

Bob gave up three goals in the third on 11 shots, the defense didn’t do much to help him but one must be better if one wants to lead an Olympic team… I’m thinking Bob may need some yoga lessons...

Crappy loss…. Ottawa is waiting, don’t crap the bed three times in a row Jackets.

This one just hurts and it could be one that we will rue at seasons end. We were fortunate to come out of the second. With the 2-0 lead. We played really poorly then supposed to carryover of bad play into the third had to come to head.

Carolina slowly raised their play throughout the game and for the last two periods we did not. We did not step up and will the win.

The biggest problem I have with this loss is no one looked terrible, no one looked great. Flashes of hard work here and there but mostly just punching the clock and coasting.

We have 2 kids.

Guys like Johansen, Calvert and Cam have like 3-4 years of experience at the AHL level or greater. They aren't kids. Youth and inexperience is a ****ing weak ass excuse.

I mean kids as in they've never been in so many situations before. They've never come off of a very long winning streak and had the experience to know you can't get cocky and expect to gamble and score and you have to stick with doing the little things right. Call it an excuse or not I don't care, we're very young and that explains a lot about this team.

I don't think they stuck with it. There were too many shifts were guys were taking chances with the puck and not getting it deep, or not covering their guys.

Agree.... Let’s see how McBackup can do vs a hungry Canadian team ready for bear to keep those Capital fans happy... lol

The Jackets better have their heads on square or it could be ugly in Jacket land...

Gotta win tomorrow..period.

Ah yes, I forgot the Habs, BLues and Washington game. Have we stolen any this year? These five were major meltdowns, much like the Cleveland meltdowns I have learned to loathe

I think you were correct in your assessment. At least, I was interpreting the same. But the team was not executing it with the proper attitude - too passive. And they had no answer when things started to unravel. I think they were playing that way to avoid collapse. - thinking they were doing the proper thing. As I said, this better end up bein a lessons because otherwise things could get a little haywire.

Not sure if I would call it a steal but didn't they score late against these same Carolina team? Then Mckenna made a huge save on Skinner in hte final minute to keep the lead.
