Need to take better shots. Miller made 2 or 3 decent saves but a cut out could have won his game with the offensive performance

Do I see someone chirping about the coach after he just led this team to an eight game winning streak?

I don't even think I have to say anything else on that subject, it speaks for itself.

The Jackets fought tonight, they just didn't get a couple of saves and ran into a very good goaltender, at the top of his game. It's one loss, there are still 31 games to go. Time to get back to the grindstone and get ready for Monday.

Time for another 8 game streak.
Win Streak. Just got to be clear, Time to start another Win streak.

Also,

Good game by Buffalo. They frustrated our top lines, clogged it up in front of their net so little opportunity for easy second chances, and took advantage of some soft goals.

Disappointing, but it had to end sometime. back at it Monday

Yeah, they were due for one like this. A young team has to learn to deal with success, as well as failure. Important that they come away from this one humbled, a bit, and ready to start another streak on Tuesday. Must not let this begin a string of loses.

I'm cool with a loss every now and then, it's just important not to let it grow into 2 or 3 in a row. Winning in Carolina will prove to me that this team is legit.

This is where coaching comes in hand. Let's see how Richards and co. whip them into shape coming off all the success. It's easy to say and do the right things when you deal with success, lets see how they respond.

This is exactly what I warned of. The Sabres are the old Jackets this season. Basically not a good hockey team, but with nothing to lose. They are going to rise up and beat some teams. Not like this is their first win of the season.

On top of that our goalies picked tonight to suck. Just one of those nights. Every team has them. Winning streaks all have one thing in common, eventually they are going to end. Hate to see it happen on home ice with my Son at the game, but it is what it is.

I look for them to come back strong on Monday. Going to have to, Carolina has been playing good hockey the last little bit.

I go back to Bob vs Carolina, not only because its a big game but because he's probably pissed and thinks he let the team down.

Wrong and wrong.

Jackets struggled with focus. Only so much the coach can do. Buffalo played well and got the benefit of some bad goals and a couple posts from the CBJ. Sabres deserved the win, but the coaching nor the effort were issues.

Rob, you had me all game long until you stood up for the ridiculous Sabres fan.

If a Sabre fan bias came through too much my bad...(my apology). I wanted the Jackets to win nine in a row...

In all honesty I would have preferred you called me out for supporting Ryan Miller and our USA team...

I told you the Sabres would come to beat our winning streak, I don't think the CBJ organization was ready for this game... This up and down with our defensive players could be our albatross...

Any time the #1 star is the away goalie it's bad news for the good guys

Only one loss so we move on to Monday

Jackets outplayed them for a lot of the game and put decent pressure on them, but Bob was terrible, they got behind, and it's tough to overcome that with Miller playing well.

I didn't see as much of this game as others recently, but the Jackets have been having trouble getting set up on the power play. Once they do that they've done well, but it seems like a lot of their power plays they are not able to consistently get the puck in and set up without having to chase it down the other end a few times first.

What sucks is even after this long streak is if we lose vs the Canes we're back on the outside looking in.

Not a terrible effort. One thing the Jackets will have to work on is how to beat these "collapse" or "layered" defences where 3 or 4 defenders are always clogging the net front, blocking shots and clearing rebounds. It's easy to win the possession battle against a defence like that because you have space in the outer part of the zone to skate around, but its hard to get good shots. Tonight we didn't figure it out and didn't get enough good shots.

Do me a favor Brass... tweet #CBJ management, #get your **** together before you blow the season....

Thanks..

lol. Unfortunately I don't think they would listen. It's just twitter.

Earlier in the night you said the CBJ were a playoff team as long as they didn't collapse, now you're telling management to get it together before they blow the season. Are we a board of ups and downs or what.
