We're still in third after the weekend and the Rangers are still in our sights. Games like this happen. I saw a team on Saturday night that dominated in possession and shots and most of the time our award winning goaltender makes those saves. We'll win that game 8 times out of ten.

They weren't as sharp as they can be, but every team has nights like that. As long as it doesn't start a losing streak in the other direction I'm not that worried about it.

The importance of this cannot be overstated. Doesn't even have to be eight more, although that would obviously be helpful. All of the losses should really be separated by at least a couple games.

Agreed, and we also have a couple of playoff contenders on the schedule this week. If I had to pick one of these 3 games to lose (including Saturday night), I'm taking Buffalo. Its much more meaningful in the standings to deny OTT and CAR points.

How Bob played on Saturday night was similar to how he played one game last year at Nashville when IIRC he gave up four goals in the first period. Also IIRC he bounced back nicely the following game. Here's hoping history repeats itself.

I was at that game in Nashville. First time seeing the CBJ away and just happened to be in Nashville visiting a friend that weekend. It seemed like every shot the Preds took went it. I believe it was 4-0 just over 10 minutes it. We managed to get back within 4-2, before an EN goal made it 5-2. It was a pretty miserable night.
