I'd honestly like to see the ratio of people who are hating on Chytil with those who are star chasers and want Eichel.

@duhmetreE is one guy who I know doesn't fall into that group, but I'd be interested to see the rest of it.

Feel free to stop reading it then, you certainly aren't bringing a ton to the conversation anyway

"Feel free to stop reading"

I can say the same thing right back at you. Its the same trash posts over and over again from the sky is falling crowd. The same people that say "the Sabres = guaranteed W, time to think about the next game against the Isles" as if players don't have the same mentality.

So please enlighten me and bring a ton more of the same nonsense to the conversation. It's so enjoyable.

Read. Follow along.

Team has trouble generating offense in tight, playoff-like, playoff games. They don’t generate offense when they need to. Easy to do that in loose situations.

Read. Follow along.

Every single team has more trouble generating offense in tight, playoff-like games.

I can't believe that every single hockey fan doesn't know this.

That's hockey 101.

I'm not sure what that even means. I responded to someone who said they don't generate offense. You can't be 3rd in the entire NHL in goals scored and be a bad offensive team.
We’re great offensively when the stakes aren’t very high. We can really pile it on against bad teams and/or when we’re winning by a lot. But when we badly need a goal, we usually can’t generate shit. We fall apart and/or can’t execute. That’s on the players, yes. But it’s also on the coach. I think that’s what he was trying to say.

Again, nothing of substance of this post except complaining about complaining, which doesn't make you any better.

For a board that loves to crow about "we're never going to win playoff games unless we get playoff dudes," a guy who has done nothing all year but score hat-tricks against bad teams has a lot of defenders.

Like, for a board that I think harps too much on "this won't work when the games matter," Zibanejad is actually that.

Yah those 30/40 Goal PPG Centers grow on trees.

Well I guess you can trade the entire prospect pool you tanked for 3 years to build up for a $10M broken Eichel.

I like Chytil. I just said that the other night.

I just want him to stop checking his teammates and start handling passes at an NHL level.

These are things you can work on.

I hate on Chytil but absolutely NO to Eichel. Not worth the cap hit

The obvious choice is neither, but I would much rather Zibanejad at 8 over Eichel at 10, so no.

I've always been suspect of Chytils game IQ

hopefully it gets better with age. It's the glaring weakness to me

Haha I knew this on pace bullshit was coming. Knew it. Even though a good portion of his production has come against shit teams.

What’s acceptable is converting and not taking a stupid penalty. He doesnt show up consistently enough. Doesnt skate hard enough every game.

Point being, I would happily include him in a package for a Center

well no one converts on every chance you shoot 10% and you’re a star certainly not kids so I ask again realistically what “pace” would you be happy with? Simple question knowing again that no one converts every chance

Exactly. Don’t understand how that clown doesn’t understand that.

I want to keep our centers. I think Zibanejad -Strome - Chytil should be the continuity down the middle through our window. The best teams have continuity there. I think there are certain types of veteran players that could slot in depth positions and would serve us well but Chytil, specifically since he's the topic, is going to be that matchup nightmare in the playoffs because the other side is forced to try and smother Mika/Panarin.

EDIT: Well... can't guarantee Chytil will be that guy. But he has the skill to be.
