Post-Game Talk: Game 5

I'm just sick of waiting 30, 40, 50+ years between championships.
Then don’t give up just because we’re down 3-2. The last 4 games have been 1 goal games. Rangers won 2, Florida won 2. Sure Florida looks great, but it’s very possible to sneak out 2 games in this series. Win Saturday and go from there.

Guys giving up, expecting this team to just blast through every series is unreasonable. It was always going to be a stress fest on the way to the cup.

I'm unsure what actual roster changes could actually be made at this point that would help. Nothing we have to add will change things at this point. What needs to happen is that Mika, kreider, Panarin, Chytil, and our d in genrral all have better games. It's a lot to ask but as has been the case all year this team found a way to win a lot this year when things went downhill, it's why we're in the conference finals. So for me, until we lose it's not over and I'm hoping a couple of Kreider, Mika, Panarin, Lafreniere, Trochek etc become heros and force game 7 much like Kreider did vs Carolina and Goodrow Trochek and Lafreniere throughout the playoffs. Bring this back to new york and it's anyone's game, let's go rangers

Yeah. The lucky few get anything and it sucks.

I'm thankful I get to do it here. A lot of sports fans who win nothing also don't have HF.

And the rest of HF doesn't have this board.

It has ups and downs but it is overwhelmingly additive to the experience.

Winning in overtime in the playoffs is woke. Winning in overtime in the playoffs and @Bob Richards delivering the perfect joke in the PGT is bespoke.

The refs have swallowed their whistles in elimination games all playoffs. I understand scoring on the 1 or 2 opportunities we're given can be very important, but we can't expect any more PP opportunities more than that going forward.

We need to win 5v5.

Swallowed their whistles unless you're the Panthers. The call on Gus was a disgrace but the ref was giddy to make it so that Panthers fans weren't upset that he gave us a 5 on 3. f***ing piece of shit.

Stop thinking and more doing, Peter.

It's funny when we had the advantage of job danger chances through game 3 which was the game everyone said we were dominated no one gave this team any credit for it.

The Rangers need to play with this kind of intensity.

Honestly if I had to describe the NYR power play once they’re in the offensive zone with one phrase it would be “sitting there, completely stymied”

Why is this teams mentality with everything “oh well this player or thing was good in the past so that means it must be good now and it never needs to be objectively evaluated again”

We have twenty million dollars locked up in players who are either doing nothing (Panarin) or actively hurting the team (Trouba).

We also have a Norris winning defenseman playing severely injured.

I have no idea what to do with Panarin. He’s too good in the regular season and against basically any team other than Carolina or Florida to just give up on.

Trouba on the other hand. The entire defense can be fixed simply by getting rid of his salary and signing two mobile pick movers.

Playing man to man d is basically working against most of our defensemens strengths. Trouba, Lindgren, Gustafson and one legged Fox can't chase people, they need to play positional and let players come to them. I don't know why we switched to man to man, Florida is just dragging our d out to the blueline, leaving the zone and then re entering it unchallenged.
