The Rangers are playing with half a competent roster. I don't see that with the Oilers, unless Skinner shits the bed which is possible.

They can actually exit the zone. They have lethal scorers.

Dallas depends on roster and injury. They are a resilient team.

Nils Lundkqvist had almost the same amount of points as Kakko this season while playing defense.

GMs look at more than pts. Kakko is a great possession player, has size, youth and pedigree. We just cant afford to have Ws with cinder blocks for feet when we desperately need speed at F and D.

Because he is getting twice as many pucks thrown his way many of which are high quality. BOB would be giving up 5 a game if the roles were reversed.

It's not close. Even when Florida didn't score it was because a stick got in the way at the last second or Igor made another save above expected or the Florida player simply missed. They've owned the slot and middle of the ice. We're cycling around the perimeter and getting angled out without even getting a point shot. It's this holding on by a thread feeling even when the game was scoreless or tied.

This is silly. Shesterkin has been, pretty easily, the BEST player in the entire series. It’s really not close either

Correct. Still not good enough.

One goalie has a shutout, the other doesn't. One goalie has allowed less than 2 goals twice, the other has done it once. You'd think Shesterkin would be the former in each situation right?

Series ain't over; if he decides game 6 they're getting nothing then the show goes on. Team in front has to be better, but it's literally up to him. He's our "Messier" the way we're built. He has to will this team to the canyon of heroes, it's the only way. They're not good enough to do it any other way.

Ashamed isn’t the right word. Frustrated is more like it. The club can’t seem to get over the hump. The Vancouver Canucks of the East. Which is ironic because the one time they managed to win in the past 85 years was against the Canucks.

Florida was actually fairly conservative defensively to start the series, constantly having 3 guys back. Against the Rangers this is VERY unneccessary because they can't exit the zone with speed, or posession, or anything.

Last couple games they just hard seal the walls and its f***ing over. There are several ways to beat that and the Rangers whether because of injury, laziness, or tactics, can't. Shits over when your team can't weather a VERY basic dump and chase.

Fire the entire coaching staff before Game 6 and bring back a unstoppable trio of AV, Quinn and Gallant

You're joking ofcourse but it's a good little segway into what I want to discuss. Lavi has mostly made good personel (icetime) choices most of the year and in these playoffs up until this series. He starts to mess with what has been working . Trocheck had been leading all forwards in icetime before this series and by a few minutes a game over the second forward. This series Panarin or Zibby have led and Panarin has substantial increase in icetime while Trochecks is reduced. There are other questionable moves. Chytil has been totally useless up on the wing plus putting him up there seems to have hurt the chemistry of the other lines it affects. . Cuylle has played solid but gets benched for stretches. Rempe just being used in the first period except for one game where he played 10 mins (which we won) and he played great (9 hits) . Defence is the same ......I won't get into players but the physical dmen are getting less icetime. We have been winning the games where we are physical. A few mins change in icetime may not seem like much but it seems to send a message that the more physical players are NOT rewared for good physical play. Instead the softies get more icetime. I having a hard time believing these are all Lavi's decisions. I'm wondering if Drury is putting pressure on Lavi to play Panarin more etc. like he seemed to do with Gallant.

Something is rotten in the State of Denmark and if it's just Panarin and Zibby .....then why give them MORE icetime. It doesn't make sense.

Send a resounding message the next 2 games and give the guys making the most effort more icetime !
