I’d give Dean one more year. He’s 0-4 in playoff series, but next year isn’t going to be any better. Next year is really the last year of the dead cap, because after that year, the cap is going to shoot up AND we can take in term at the deadline. Imagine being able to trade for a guy like Meier this year because we can extend him. Plus Marat will be here and will be a quality top 9 center imo. Let the new coach start fresh in 24-25

A good goalie with good positioning makes saves look easy.

While we've had more than our fair share of shots right into him, he's making it look easy out there while Gus is losing track of the puck easy and often.
 
This is 3 years in a row this core has shit themselves profusely as soon as things matter. It’s toxic as f*** now. Gotta blow it up fully and start over. Kap included

Right but that team had their star players say "F it" and put the team on their backs.

Don't see that happening with the way Boldy and Kaprizov have been playing with this series.

Series win or not, there are some clear issues still that can be adjusted in the offseason to have more success next year. Guys who are clearly not effective anymore, systems that should change, etc. We could win this series, but those things are still going to be there.

It'd be different if we haven't seen this exact same horror flick every single year. And it may be more promising if all our star players weren't MIA.
