everything was from their perspective. we were basically watching their broadcast

It does get a bit irritating when everything is analyzed more so from the point of view of what Pittsburgh is doing wrong as opposed to what the Rangers are doing right. What's going through Pittsburgh's mind, what they need to do to come back, what they need to do for next game.

I'm not a fan of the narrative that the refs and NHL conspire to help the Penguins win, I think that's asinine and embarrassing that people think that. However, NBC does pander to the Penguins in their coverage. Pierre is a Pittsburgh cheerleader which doesn't help. The studio guys are more even, but the broadcast teams usually favor the Pens. I guess it may be hard for them not to with Pitt having so much star power, they're more inclined to talk about them and such.

McD looks quite emotional in his interview -- almost like the MSL situation had impacted him personally. If that's the case, he is a true team player, and (all things considered) deserves captaincy.

I will add - first 2 goals, rebounds. They are a better team when they go to the net. There is a place for everything but they need to do that more.

Third goal was basically off a "rebound" too...albeit the rebound of a blocked shot. Still, get the puck to the net, and then get to the puck. However it's done.

I think it was a emotional night for the whole team. I think the interview after the game was probably harder for Marty than the game itself. A lot of players would have said no to a interview. He is a class act.

I definitely think the team got a huge emotional lift from the situation. I thought you could feel it. They brought a new level of intensity. Sure, maybe it was being down 3-1. Idk.

For as much as we rip him on here, I thought Giannone did a good job with the St. Louis interview. Not an easy thing to do.

Yes, that was the best interview I have ever seen him do. under very tough circumstances.

Absotively. Before I wanted the team to "do well" -- and I know that's terribly vague -- these playoffs. Now I want them to win it all. Even a Cup doesn't make up for losing one's parent, but at least one can win it in memory of someone, as gratitude for all the parent did -- all the sacrifices she made for her son and his career.

Yup. And **** off everyone claiming this team has no heart. This was a great performance with lots of heart.

I hope the so called "fans" ridiculing Nash, Girardi and St.Louis last game stay away from the Garden and let the true supporters attend the game.

Let's go Rangers! This series is definitely winnable.

Nash did little to nothing to redeem himself. If we win in game 6, I agree that I think we win this series despite playing in stanksburgh.

Please no booing on Sunday. Be loud!!! this team showed a ton of heart tonight.

The whole St.Louis thing is tragic and can really bring a team together. Great to see the guys step up for him. However CBC decided to blow Crosby for being a great guy and consoling MSL before the game, while the cameras happened to be there. Such a class act that Cindy. Nauseating.

What

Nash deserves every single bit of ridicule he gets

We're 12 games in and he still has no ****ing goals.

Nash really did next to nothing tonight except miss an open net. The coach noticed also as Nash only played 13 minutes one of the lowest totals of any forward.
